It is amazing how much the Dairy has changed since you started your RU-vid channel. It would be interesting to see clips of what it was like in the beginning as compared to what it is now and for you and the Ginger Warrior to talk about your 5 year plan and so on. Tom, Luke has been a significant hire for the farm. Good help is hard to find. The farm is definitely looking better. The area still needs to cleaned/scraped so that anything hidden in grass, or in the dirt, can be removed. It helps in preventing tire damage or even preventing personal injuries if walking in that area.

We hav a mulch in US that is chopped up tires and used a lot as a base for playgrounds and also for landscaping. Love the recycling of what could load up landfills.

It's amazing how much junk, crap you end up with just sitting around. A couple years ago I cleaned out the basement at work and hauled about 3 tons of "projects" to the landfill.

Tom, Have you considered slicing the tires in half. Numerous other farmers are using just the sidewalls. Do just as good a job as whole tire but take up half the space and are easier to handle.

👍👍👍I knew it. I just knew ALL the tyres wouldn't be gone Tom. You just had to keep some to shift around the farm. Farmers always have to have some junk laying around - Think Tom, think of all the money you'll save on fuel when you no longer have to shunt tires and rusty old bits of agri-clutter around the farm. It's a win win situation and your farm will work more efficiently. By the way Tom, Adrian over at IFarm We Farm was looking to get rid of a shed load of tyres give him a bell, that tyre guy maybe able to help Adrian find someone local. Looking forward to seeing the next episode in the mini-series.👍👍👍

My father and I have an auto repair shop and I am currently waiting for the tire recycle place to come and get our junk tires. Quoted price $3 for car tires, $3.50 for light truck tires. I'll update this with the final price if I remember.

Just finished cleaning out my in-laws barn and outbuildings… turnouts a lot of the junk came from the previous owner, who lived there 55 years ago!

Also Tom, your videos are not only entertaining and educational, but they are very inspiring to me. I have had annoying chronic pain issues for the past ten years that have left me unmotivated and sometimes hopeless (okay so this isn’t my swan song 😂). I do still have a sense of humor about my condition, and something about your hard work, humility (not meekness), and your sense of humor have inspired me to get going again. My new daily mantra for myself is , “ Do three chores, then one more.” I think you’re really as genuine as you are in your videos and I’m glad you’re willing to share your life. Thanks.

You must feel a lot of satisfaction in having that 'stuff' cleared away. It's so easy to accumulate it as there 'might' come a time when you need it to fix something else or you can repurpose it.... but... it's good to be rid of it and have a much tidier farm.

Cut one side off each tyre and drill holes through the tread at 12, 3,6, and 9 o’clock positions and fix them together to create a ‘mat’ which can then be used as a ground stabiliser ‘foundation, for farm tracks, before filling with 20 to 40mm unwashed stone, whacked down then topped with a couple of i inches of soil for aesthetics (chuck some old grass seed on to to speed up integration to the landscape... it will help avoid rutting in your tracks, in all weathers
