Being an Indian, I really felt the change you mentioned. From a fat wallet, now I carry a card holder with me. As per Digital India movement I guess we’ll level up towards complete phone payment soon in coming years.

As an Indian, I'm confused. I have paytm, phonepe, GPay, PayPal, and other countless pay, in my phone.. Itna tho bhai paisa nahi h, jitna payment gateway h... Aur ha.. Every bank has also his payment gateway.. Basically, Indian Govt made one central payment interface, anyone can make UPI framework over it and sell... 😐 WhatsApp pay s kuch nahi hona... Unless exciting cashback is there...

That's true in Canada I hardly have cash in my wallet and specially in COVID most of the businesses are not accepting cash these days which everyone is comfortable with!

I was actually shocked when I heard that Amazon is not in Pakistan. i mean I am typing from the laptop which was ordered through it, also during these covid times I rarely use cash and google pay, bhim etc are very helpful and almost every shop have the QR code installed.

UPI is a game Changer in India. Instant Payment (0% Transaction Fee for most of the banks). A developer can integrate payment gateway in just few piece of code. A shopkeeper can take digital transaction through apps that usually takes a 10 minute setup. There is a 10% spike in total number of transactions in September wrt August. As per my experience the transactions are very smooth.

Bhai india ma log pehle he ghr batha payment kr dete as there are many platforms like phonepe, google pe, Amazon pe, paytm etc. WhatsApp upi doesn't make any difference. I never went to my branch bank but just once only when I opened my bank account. Its been more than 5 years.

WhatsApp is running late we already have payment platforms (Paytm, phone pe, google pay , Amazon pay) .

Not even cards, here in US now many people pay with their phones such as apple pay

This feature has been in india from last 4 - 5 years in other apps like Paytm Google pay , phone pay , and there are around 100 million users already but now penetration will be good with whatsapp

Been living in Germany for 3 years, Amazon, Paypal, Great Online Banking, eBay, and countless other platforms. I wanna buy something, type in google, click and its on its way to you, except for groceries, everything is at your doorstep. Life has been so so so easy, peaceful and calm but at the same time I feel very sad for our Pakistan. We have such a sparking youth, full of ideas and energy, but these boomers have done everything to impede the new ideas from pervading in our society. We are becoming analogue players in a digital world.

In India We do all kind of payment by just scanning QR code from PayTm, Google Pay etc.

Today,i decided to submit my National Medical Colleges admission Test (NMDCAT) registration fee,today was friday,and half of my city (Faisalabad) was closed..and i had to search a photocopy shop for almost 25 minutes,then i got a printed slip of my fee challan,then i went to the bank,but the man at the counter refused to take it because there was one number printed vague(due to some unknown reason;all numbers were visible except only one😵) Then again i had to road for almost 25 minutes to get colourful printed copy,then after almost 1:15 hours,i paid my fee chalan to the bank and then again i searched an opened tcs franchise to get my application form sent to NTS office It took 2 hours almost!!! Whatsapp pay came late, we are already having this platform. Its called unified payment interface( UPI). instant bank transfers using QR code scan.

I'm a Kiwi Pakistani and I don't remember the last time I went to a bank seriously. What you said about carrying cash is so true, I legit got $20 cash in my wallet just in case lmao. I have no freaking clue if Pakistan will ever change, it's disappointing really. I pay all my weekly bills from the bank app or either through my phone (Google pay) and I was in utter shock when my father once asked me to go through his bank al habib's account through the app just to see the balance and guess what? It never got logged in lol and on the other side, my father is still paying his bills and shit from NZ bank app even when he is visiting Pakistan. but bro on serious note, keep only 1-2 lacks useful amount in bank, dont keep on investing on artifical or paper or digital currency. Global economy is becoming fragile and volatile and unstable day by day due to digitalisation of money because money doesnt keep any physical property or worth behind. In other words, Global economy is becoming Air Baloon which can explode easily in upcoming years. Always invest in any physical product or asset like property,Car, Gold etc. Junaid Sir! Also do some research about it more broadly and give us info about loopholes of digitalisation. In my view, we shouldnt blindly follow steps of them who already implemented it but we should research about it because the person at the end of race always have higher options.

Sir It was government who approved WHATSAPP PAYMENT IN INDIA.

In KSA open your account online , its linked with absher ( matlab KSA ka nadra), within few minutes your account is open for digital banking and card will be delivered within 3-4 days.thats it.
