It's very bad. Terrible for business and not good for consumers. I recommend to run away from this firm! They can do whatever they want with your money for up to 6 months and nothing you can do! Dangerous and ridiculous !!!
Today we removed PayPal from our store, over a year of perfect transactions and 10s of thousands of pounds through them and just out blue this week have frozen several thousand pounds for no reason, asked for ID sent ID, then asked to sign new paperwork again on who Director is, same as year ago and sent that, days on and non stop calling them and twice having phone cut off on me I don't have that money!!! Never use them again!!
The most annoying thing about paypal is when a seller send you an item using a fake tracking number or wrong item to a different address. As long as the tracking number states that the item was delivered, the buyer will most likely lose the case. Paypal can't even bother asking the seller to provide evidence of the postage (name, address and postal/zip). Something that the seller must honestly provide in a dispute.
@@paullasky6865 Hi ! Couldn't you have chosen an option to "delay the paiement" until you have received the item you purchased and have verified that everything with it was in order ?
This happened to me a couple of months ago and I contacted the mailing service that the seller claimed to had used and provided the tracking number to the mailing service. I was refunded because UPS was able to provide me information stating the same seller sent both of my orders on different days to a different address and name. The seller probably sent out empty boxes.
The question is why PayPal does this, making so little effort. The answer is that they pocket the money for themselves, not giving you or the seller any money in this case.
Only had PayPal because of ebay and then I did like the three months offered by PayPal Credit. Ditched last year after a fraudulent payment, that they wouldn’t deal with nor offer any information on how it happened. Refunded by merchant.
I use paypal all the time, especially with ebay obviously. But also with the security side like you say and sometimes just for convenience. Although I've never used the money pool feature it does sound really good, I'm glad it's there. I didn't know about section 75, I always thought I would be covered through paypal protection - guess i was wrong. Very informative video, thanks!
I hate PayPal!!!!!! I went out of the country and couldn't access in any of my money, I couldn't link bank accounts or debit cards, or even transfer money to cards that were already linked to PayPal. Even the supervisors I spoke to in customer service couldn't override the issue, and they were genuinely trying to help me. After a week of not getting it resolved and being down to $2 in cash (Literally) in a foreign country, and not eating some days. I just had to have a relative fly me back to America, and even then the account was giving me an issue. One of the worst times in my life.
@@mauricioortizbuitrago3183 it's real.. sellers are screwed. And if the buyer is actually legit the post office will be sure to steal the item. Especially overseas.
Intro - "if you don't know what paypal is, this video doesn't apply to you. You don't have anything to ditch!" Otherwise the video was fine, if a bit wordy.
Paypal have suspended my account, kept my money and wont close the account or refund my cash....All because I refused to send them a photocopy of my Driving licence and Birth certificate, they have been holding my cash for 2 years now.
Hey Andy, Is your blog your full time job? Could you make a video on how you started blogging and your sources of income as it would be great content. P.S great video
Hi Nehan. Yes, I'm full time on the blog and things like the podcast and RU-vid, but it's the blog that pays the bills! I'll put it on the list for next year!
@@BeCleverWithYourCash Thats so nice, I love personal finance and Im turning 19 at the end of this month. I will be starting my own blog too so any tips would be amazing for your upcoming video🙂
Quick question do you have to Link your bank account to your PayPal account. I made one and linked my card and it's a prepaid card so my thoughts were I would be able to just use the card through PayPal without liking my Bank account if that makes sense. Just a question I had I'm a US citizen if that makes a difference
PP has recently not appeared as my default payment option. I only buy and don't sell anything. Now when I try to choose to pay with PP (eBay) it states it is no longer an option. What's going on?
can you please help me i use PayPal and i was send some money but the transaction is cancelled and the amount is also detected in my account is that this amount will back in my account please i am worried
Im watching this because i want to buy something on the internet, but they only accept paypal. Is it worth it creating a paypal account for this? Can i link my credit card, buy what i need, receive the product and then delete my account as if it never existed? Thanks in advance
@@samil1522 nope. I didnt want to risk it at all, plus what i wanted to buy wasnt that important. Good luck if youre gonna buy something with paypal though
My world would come crashing down if Paypal ever locked me out. I pretty much use my Paypal as if it was a bank account. I've had Paypal for about 15 years now I think its been, and never had any issues with them. I used to have a business account when I sold on eBay but I just have a personal account now with the debt card. But over the course of time, if I'm not mistaken ownership of Paypal has changed 3 times since Ive been with them. But over 15 years Ive only had to contact them once and that was when I bought a fake piece of jewelry off eBay for $500. I provided proof it was a fake and I got refunded. So for me, Paypal has been great! I did take a peek at Trustpilot and BBB sites today and I was a bit alarmed to see a 1 star rating and got me a bit scared. But out of the 20k 1 stars I'm guessing the majority of them are business accounts that have had issues with charge backs and other flaggable things going on. Like with most places like BBB and Trust Pilot you will see the negatives and not so much the positives. Not many happy customers take the time to leave a good review but the second something happens you bet they go post that bad review. So 20k 1 star ratings and probably 1.2 million 5 stars just not posted. Thanks for the video Andy!
in short Pros and Cons they are Safe and Reliable as a Pro. now the truth is always UGLY when it comes to Claims OR HICCUPS the agonizing DRAGGED as far as time protocol dealing with Automated calls not to mention that PayPal money back guarantee MINUS RETURN SHIPPING does not equal the PayPal money back guarantee policy which is why their channel comments are off on all their videos uploaded. pass it forward
