I use Paytm QR for accepting payments in my business...even tho my current A/c is with another bank... and I tried so hard to find any info about how will this paytm saga affect me... couldn't find any conclusive information... At that time google pay , sbi pay , and so many others were in the market...but paytm and phonpe , they provided crazy cashback offers, and better advertisement, hence captured the market...

As a Data Engineer who has work on Paytm data, I completely agree that PAYTM has done a major misplace in their database and I even know they can not fix it for their old account because of their pathetic data structure. As they will go in older account they will find more irregularities.

In my case, OTP was asked for just once and they didn’t force me for any app download or card. I was the one instead who asked them which app I should download. I think it totally depends on where you get it done from. I got it done from an Apple retailer and they’re never annoying anyway. Chroma etc might be though.

Problem is not with competition ( you have phonepe, gpay, bhim etc but government politicians will lift only one which is required for them just like how Demonetisation stage helped Paytm when government app is no where in picture ) , private capitalists are politician Stooges and they will manipulate company finance and sink retail investors, private capitalism is bound to fail at some point and those poor retail investors who stay for long and who do not have insider news will sink , capitalism is nothing but political capitalism

Thank you so much for highlighting this aspect! There is not enough market competition, and CCI's powers and regulatory capacity are unfortunately limited. Competition drives better outcomes and lower prices for consumers. In the end, UPI is dominated by 3 players (GPay, PhonePe, PayTM), and the wallet market is also limited. There is also a problem of high barriers to entry - which means that new players find it difficult to enter the market due to excessive market power of big players like PayTM and problems in licensing conditions etc. This needs to be fixed, otherwise in a market where there are a few dominant players, companies have zero incentive to get better - because customers can't leave them! we are getting utterly shafted by these people.

I had only one payment app in my mobile and that was paytm until this news broke out. Using paytm payment bank for day to day transactions and all the services like movie, irctc, metro tickets are unmatched by any other. I never encountered any problem. In fact i have been using paytm since 2013 when i got my first smartphone. I just hope this company don't die and will switch back to it if things sort out and hope they do all the complainces they have been asked by the RBI.

Morgan Stanley ne 1% se kam kharida hai. As per SEBI regulations they can sell it anytime without any prior notice. Agar unhe kuch sach me pata hota to 1% se jyada hi kharidte, SEBI ko inform karke kharidte. Mujhe to lagta hai yeh ek gambling move hai or Issey retail investors fir phasne Wale hai

6:18 neither Airtel payment bank nor Jio payment Bank have separate apps for three Bank usage only. They have integrated the bank services in My Airtel and My Jio app. So other player should be scrutinized for this point as well.

Haa pehle airtel bhi karta tha 😂 airtel Number KYC karne jao toh saath mein Airtel Payments Bank account bhi open kar dete thay 😅 per abhi nahi aisa karte RBI ne unper bhi fine lagaya tha bahut pehle 🙏🏻 par abhi airtel apni galtiyon se seekh chuka tha 👍🏻abhi yeh sab band kar diya Airtel ne

Jio doesn't have bank licence and they aren't going to have in future tho they must partner with other banks and recently they are rumours that jio financial are trying to acquire the Paytm but they clarify it's not like that... And Airtel may have licence for payment banks not jio

Yah baat sahi Maine bhe kuch 2 year phali Paytm wallet ka kyc Keya tha to Bank ACCOUNT bhe open ho gaya liken Paytm payment bank acha tha liken RBI ne sahi Keya kyu ke rbi ko ham Galt nahi bola sakte hai

Mere sath 2018 me fraud hua tha fraud ka sara paisa paytm payment bank ke account mai transfer hua tha. Mere drwara paytm ko call kiya gya tha legal notice bhi bheja tha lekin koi support nahi mila Paytm ki side se. Finally police complaint ki halaki bank account freeze karwa diya tha maine. Desh mia jitne bhi fraud ho rahe hai sab payment bank ki karamat hai. Account hi beche ja rahe hai with ATM.

Me paytm payment bank se itna addicted hogya thaa ki mujhe iske alawa koi bank psnd nhi thaa per kya kre indian bank itna facilities nhi deta ab jobhi ho india is upper in our priorities 🥺💝
