Pazuzu Miniboss Fight (La-Mulana) 

Ah yeah I fought him from the back too, it's definitely less risky than standing on the platforms not knowing which boulder he's going to go for and when, especially once you figure out the strategy of when to jump to make him consistently miss you. I actually used the Chakram to kill him the first time (and the second time after I stupidly died in the next room lol). It does loads more damage than either Shurikens or the Whip. The only thing you have to watch out for is the door opening behind you after you kill him because the Chakram can fly straight out of the room and you'll lose the precious ammo. I'm such a resource freak that I reset my game a couple of times to go back and kill him again without losing ammo. Also, I discovered that if you do a jump from the top all the way to the left side of the room, you can sometimes dodge his trigger and skip him altogether, but that does put the pressure on to get the [REDACTED] in the next room without messing up since you can't just leave to save. I did that during my first hard mode playthrough, but I have no idea how to do it consistently and it's never been worth testing. The main reason there aren't many documented strategies or skips for this boss is that it's so easy to skip the [REDACTED] he's guarding and get [REDACTED] later on, so most people who replay the game multiple times or speedrun it just completely ignore him. (And in the randomizer he's basically never relevant until the end, if at all.)
