@@PugilistCactus If intel or amd have a CPU that does not perform to spec, they will reduce the clock on that CPU until it is stable and sell it as a lower speed part. This is a common practice to cut down on waist and improve yield.
@Erocketfries During manufacture CPU's can have varying levels of stability at certain speeds. So, if you have a production line that is making 3.3Ghz i3 CPUs there will be some that do not test stable at 3.3Ghz. At that point, the clock is lowered until the CPU runs stable, and then it is branded at its stable speed. Years back, AMD would sell 3 core chips. These chips were actually 4-core chips but one of the cores where disabled because at the time the chip was tested, one of the 4 cores was unstable. AMD just disabled the unstable core and sold the CPU as a 3-core. Basically, CPUs can have slight variances in their ability to perform even among those produced on the same line with the same process on the same day. I should also point out that I am unsure of how much this situation has changed as we have moved to smaller nodes. It could be that currently both Intel and AMD have refined their manufacture to bring down these variances quite a bit.
For those that keep comenting that the the radiator needs turning round on the aio...your are wrong. That is actually the correct way shown. Most radiators have a collection area at the top to collect any air in the system, and as lond as your pump is NOT the highest part on the loop the air will colkect at the top of the rad and not the pump. So many people do it wrong as well as cooling the rad with warm air from the pc.
I have a pre build hp desktop and for some reason it makes a horrible alarm sound when a faulty ram stick is interted. I found out by putting in some sticks from a pc that wasn’t posting no matter what. I think it’s pretty useful they made that safety feature, also with red power button led
all you had to do was remove video card, put in a different on that uses less (or more) pci lanes, then swap back after it starts working, i can't explain why it works, but it does, if it was the cpu it would flash then power down
You put thermal paste and connected the cooler before turning it on to see if it posts?...you know you can just put the cpu in and press the on button right?
Turn the aio radiator around!! The air can't escape from the pump if there is any in there. sometimes the pressure is heigh enough to blow them down but most of the time in these aios they are not

@@UnusualPudding so I don't know what I'm talking about even though I have first hand experience with this exact problem? Gamers Nexus doesn't cover everything and didn't test every aio! In every case there is no downside of turning the aio around so the tubes are at the top and there is a possibility of air getting trapped if you dont even if the chance is small.
So my dram light was on it would boot I replaced the ram it worked for 2 days and now the d ram light is on again and no boot what is the issue I need help

Checking the CPU is very time consuming compared to the other things. If you actually worked on computers a lot you would realize you always start with the simplest solutions then work your way up, the CPU light is actually not because of a broken CPU a good portion of the time.
@@davidl.7383 i work on computers a lot, i build them. If the CPU light is on, why would you check stuff like the gpu?! Replacing a cpu is not time consuming, its only 4 screws to remove the cooler. Its more time consuming to check everything else first if the PC already told what the problem is. Error codes are there for a reason, so you DONT have to check the entire system

Sir i bought a new mother board , rams , cpu and a power supply 850watt gold cooler master uesterday but unfortunate when i push the power botton , i hear a click at the psu and nothing happens no lights nothing! The only thing i can see is the lan lights anything else is dead... how can i troubleshoot my problem , i am so confused... could i pluged the power cable for the chassis wrong in the motherboard? I double checked that with no go...or could it be a faulty psu?
I had the same issue and i did disconnect the GPU and power back to mouse and keyboard when i connect the GPU again there is no power on mouse & keyboard. I’m wondering if the GPU dead or its the PSU not working properly. Btw RGB and fans working on GPU and i didnt touch the cpu yet . Dont know do you think its power supply , GPU or CPU ? What u think guys
I made a stupid mistake by not putting the cpu well in the motherboard, it then showed a dram issue light in the motherboard so i never knew the problem was with the cpu, i changed the ram and its lication, i also remived and blugged the psu connections, i did many things amd i thought the problem was with the motherboard so i tried to refund it, but while trying to do that, i thought lets check the cpu, and it turned out that i put it wrong, the pins have to go inside, for new commers, it is hard to tell if the cpu is in the right place or you should wiggle it more to see. Your guy might have made the same mistake.

The cpu light was on... So you know, we decided to reseat the cmos and remove a stick of ram because that also causes the cpu light to turn on. Also, i am assuming that one or more of the important pins on the cpu was bent or completely gone.
Hi bro. I'm not sure. When I press the power button, my computer does not turn on. To turn on, I have to press the power button 10 or 15 times. I taught a problem in the pc case button, so I tried a new pc case but still had the same problem, and then I tried new smps and ram but still had the same problem. And I have two hard drives (ssd and hdd); I removed the hdd and attempted to boot, but it did not work. Is there a problem with the motherboard or the processor? That motherboard looks like the tomahawk 450 max I have the same problem all the time literally all you need to do is take the CPU out blow the socket put it back in take the ramout put it back in keep the PC off no power cord connected for 20 minutes and for some reason that process always works. I have literally everything exactly the same in my PC I have the msi2060 the Ryzen five cpu and 2 sticks ram Ngl that replace was probably unnecessary
i commented this before about cmos but honestly im astound ur even a company lol bro you are never supposed to reset cmos by removing battery use the buttons or prongs with a screwdriver. Resetting the cmos by taking out the battery can cause the battery to drain to ZERO and have a dead battery which is just more money to replace
