I have had pretty good luck on the soapbox Anacs coins getting them upgraded by PCGS. Mostly they were Lincoln pennies in MS 66 and coming back MS 67. Other coins have been Morgans and Franklin halfs going up by one grade. I can't complain.

Some of the 1878 Morgans have such wonderful strikes. Last year I was bidding on an 1878 8TF Morgan in an online auction. It was only in the 63-64 range but the strike was unbelievable. It was one of those coins that just immediately stood out. It was the most well struck Morgan I have ever seen.

Interesting outcome. I have a 1952s ms 65 in a soapbox it has fbl but it’s not attributed Whenever I come across old anacs coins I try to pick out the nicer ones and some are au 53 -58 but look very under graded and the coin shop sells them to me at quite a bargain. Maybe I’ll just keep them in the holder though 😊

I love the subtle toning on the 79s Morgan. The toning on the Eagle looks maybe a bit "enhanced" to me. All the coins are eye-catchers. I can understand why you took a shot cracking them out!

@@PaulLorenzini-ny2yw I have bought a few slabbed coins from Old Pueblo - mainly gold and ancients. My son lives in the area of Ben's shop - so I try to drop in there whenever I can. I always enjoyed seeing the fossils, collectibles and relics in the front area of the shop, as well as their fine selection of coins!

Hello Ben, I inherited a bunch of coins from my late father in law and have no clue if they are worth anything. In the collection, there are small bags from the US Mint P-D-S. Each bag contains 15 uncirculated cents, (1973 Lincolns).5 from each of the following:the Phillidelphia and Denver Mints and the SanFran Assay office. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Most likely those aren’t worth more than a few cents ea unfortunately. The only way they would be is if they are in incredibly high grade conditions. They would have to be full red as well
