How did the water feel? It was too cold for me the couple times I have been out there. Beautiful drive though. We need to check into the Elks and see how it all works.

We love that area Russ! We lived in San Luis Obispo for awhile and Paso Robles when we worked on the Nuke plant there. So wonderful to see it again!

Nice video. I bicycled from Seattle to San Francisco. That was 16 years and 50 pounds ago LOL. I loved the Pacific Coast highway through Oregon and Northern California. So stunningly beautiful. It was truly one of the highlights of my life.

Hi Russ and Scooby. yes it's very beautiful for sure!! I live over by Ventura, Camarillo actually. there are a few good places in Ventura to go? But if you go into Oxnard the Victoria exit and make a right turn and just keep going straight it will lead you to Silver strand beach and the Channel Islands harbor which is very nice. But unfortunately there is no where to camp out around here except the beach along ventura ? But you can camp at Leo creo? not sure I spelled it right? but it's just a little south of Mugu rock!! on the P.C.H. it's a nice place to stay and enjoy the beach and have a little camp fire and they allow dogs!! so Scooby can run around in the waves? take care Russ and Scooby and have a great and safe trip down south. Hawk out!!

Another great experience! I keep wondering about the ragged shores. Had the earlier explorers landed here how would they have settled in this terrain? I know, I have a strange mind. I guess I need to research this history. Being from southern Indiana, I know very little about the west coast. Thanks again.

nice views along the pch. not to get in your business but how much do you think you spent on that cargo trailer that you converted into a rv? that seems to be the way to go instead of buying a turnkey piece of junk rv.

The flat area that you described as "Ragged Point" is not, in fact, Ragged Point. Ragged Point is much higher up in elevation up the coast and features the Ragged Point Inn, a marvelous hotel with a fabulous restaurant and stunning landscaped gardens. Go back and study your map before you make such an egregious error in geography.
