I wish more manufacturers would integrate this technology. At 7:26 it seems the blade keeps spinning after retraction. Is this by design or because of the video editing?
Looks like a great technology. Love the magnet polarity inversion tech ! I However have a comment about the video: you start by showing how the hand gets severely damaged by displaying the palm after the cut without PCS. Nowhere after that in the video do we see the result on the hand using PCS. If you look at 6:45 you can clearly see pieces of the fake hand flying away once it touched the blade using PCS... Could we please have a video that shows the palm and fingers after the use of PCS ?
PCS prevents sever injuries. However there is still a possibilty that the skin gets in contact with the blade and small cuts up to 1 mm thickness occure.
@@FELDERGROUPTV Thanks for your reply and I do understand that it prevents severe injuries but not everything. However, not to be annoying, but showing the palm would help believing this, just like what Festool does with their video with a small sausage on their sawstop tech. Also 6:45 in your video does not look like a 1mm cut tbh, but way more.
I can reassure you that it wasn't more than 1mm. The flakes you see are overall from the wood. It's the same at 7:46 In many of those clips you can see the hand very clearly. Thanks for the video links. These were indeed more convincing to me. Your technology is definitely something awesome. However I still think that in terms of marketing it would make sense for every single test with the golden hand that you show the palm side. I looked at the video again but couldn’t find any moment where I would see the potential cuts on the hand as the shooting angle wasn’t appropriate. Anyway I am looking forward to seeing your technology on all your saw tables. Do you intend to put PCS on the Felder tables or only on the format4 ?

Looks to be a Great System (most of the time) what happen @ 7:19? The blade did not drop all the way down? Seems like an injury could still occur? Does PCS have limitations when the blade is extended up all the way?
Saw blades up to a diameter of 400 mm drop all the way down underneath the blade. On the kappa 550 we can install sawblades up to a diameter of 550 mm. The large blades cannot be lowered below the table. There is not enough room to the ground. The machine detects the size of the blade that is installed. The user is warned by a orange fading signal in the overhead saw guard. This shows the user that in case of an activation that the blade can not drop down all the way. But these blades will will drop down as far as possible. The distance between the hand and the blade increases and the risk of an injury is therefore reduced.
