The GSM-5000 and PS-2000 from Powertrain Control Solutions can add paddle and push button shifting capability to any traditional non-electronic controlled automatic trans. We install both on Project Laguna's 700R4.
when in drive will it function like a full automatic or do you still have to use paddle shifters if you selected that option. I love the idea and i have a 88 caprice classic with a 700r4 that would be a great addon. Cause like the preview said im sick of it deciding that sometimes it will downshift or it wont.
Curious if a transgo or similar shift kit would reduce latency between shifts? I think a transgo kit might be the icing on the cake. Im in, seems the easier and cheaper way to go. Keep my TH350 instead of major surgery swapping to a T5. Thanks for this product, I will be purchasing.
I'm having a problem with the indicator not working, the light turns off... if you press it, it says no GSM... if that's the problem what should I do bro
hello I need your help, my car is 1969 camaro 5.7 lt 350 engine, I put 4L60E gearbox on it and let's say that it is 70 miles and 100 miles, let's call it very shake or balance.
just my 2cent but... it doesn't seem like this is worth the trouble. for 1.4k just save up for a dogbox. maybe I'm missing something here or that transmission. isn't built at all but it still shifts like a sluggish bucket of bolts. I get the vibe that this is more of a bling and "becuase I can" mod than a purposeful "do or die" mod
I'm not sure about this kit but mastershift kits can adjust shift points etc ..... down to like .28milsec or something like that.... I know you can do that with newer cars in Hptuning but then again maybe IM missing something as well
Wow the engineering that went into this. The price is really not that much; a t56 with all parts you need especially if it’s new (no craigslist because there’s no warranty) your looking at over 3 grand especially if your converting from automatic to manual in your hot rod( and that’s just assuming you do all he work on your own car which most folks don’t; which can be at least an extra 2-3 grand if you take it a shop ).1700$ for a cool a mod that not every one has is a definite buy and the fact that the shifts are smooth and crisp makes it more worth while. I even feel like if the transmission was a stage 2 or 3(not sure what there’s is) with better clutches and lighter parts the shifts would be quicker. I have a bm shifter in my 350 s10 but it’s a street/strip and just mainly for fun and looks! I will be buying this setup soon as a get out of AIT training with the military.
camarogs1 this kit is SPECIFICALLY for a non-electron shift by wire transmission. They have kits for electronically controlled transmissions as well. But as you can see this is a stand alone kit
🤔 I don’t know another $1,500 and another hole in my new floor pans 🙄🤨 I’ll explain in Polish because I’m Polish if you want a stick buy a stick shift car if you want a auto buy a Auto 👍
