I’m a “Old Beekeeper”. I’ve seen my share of Swarming bees since 1957. I guessing that Spring Swarm was more like 15 to 20 k of worker bees 🐝 n there Queen out looking for a new home. It is awesome to experience.., I’ve listened to other PCT hikers get that wild side adrenaline builder. Happy Trails n enjoy ! Papa J
Hi Arielle. I’m really glad @Ashobrienoutdoors pointed me to your channel as I am planning the PCT for 2025 and living in the UK it’s freakin’ me out, particularly the resupply in a different country. But I’m relieved to find your videos on the subject and also to follow your journey as inspiration as I begin mine ❤🙂
10 years of dreaming, 4 years of planning for you and a few years of waiting for this from you, for me! The content we allllll have been waiting for! Love seeing your energy out there, smiling ear to ear as always! As someone else said, I would love to be introduced to your friends and show us what you're cooking up at camp! Show us all of the things! Can't wait for the next one, be safe and happy trails from NY 🤍
Oh my gosh you literally cannot stop smiling. I can feel you're excitment and it hurts. Thank you for doing this for those of us who can't. Yes! Introduce us to your traveling partners. Would love to meet them. Also love seeing what you eat. cheers
I love it when you say you are 'going to attempt to walk to Canada'. If ever there was a lady who is definitely getting to Canada then it's you. I see you are strapped up and looking after the knee. It's a double edge sword. I had an articulated knee brace on for about 5 years prior to my knee replacement and whilst it supports you it did in my case lead to muscle wastage. You know your body and you obviously need it with the pack on but I'd be taking it off at every opportunity so you keep some muscle strength. Every shot you are grinning from ear to ear, that's wonderful to see. I just wish I was 30 years younger with the Internet as it is now. I'd have been out there too 'attempting' a thru-hikeon one of the big three. But at least I get to live this vicariously through your vlogs. You got this, watch out for Nar Nar (Kyle Hates Hiking) and Flossy who will be about 2 weeks behind you. But the way you are laying down the miles I don't know if he will catch you. Will you be doing the non PCT miles like Baden Powell and San Jucinto? Whatever your route I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.
Aw thank you! The vlogs will be a little behind my actual timing because I have to send my memory cards to my husband to edit but I’m over 200 miles in and officially knee brace free! I just use KT tape on long downhill days now yay! And yes on side trails. We did Jacinto already and plan on Baden Powell 🥳🥳
Way to get a great start to your journey!! I’m leaving for my PCT adventure in 2 weeks and I was planning on doing the early starts, mid-day siesta, and then a few more afternoon miles! Watching your first few days doing that has just confirmed that plan!! You all look like you’re having so much fun and finally getting to experience the trail first hand!! Stay strong!
@@memathews Awesome, yes this has been a bucket list item for over 35 years. Too bad life’s responsibilities have prevented me so far. I’ll be 63 when I hit the trail this year. But better late than never!
@@bionicdan1959 Never too late to try. I've done a few sections, but I'm still hop[ing to make an attempt and I'm 68 now. I'll be following your progress and ready to lend a hand when you reach northern Oregon.
That was upbeat and enjoyable. Your group is pretty big and y’all are doing some big miles right out of the gate. I look forward to following your journey.
When you did California/Mexico, I got it symbolizes the illusion how humans are separate from one another....when we go to a higher frequency of consciousness we realize that we are all one consciousness. Congratulations on starting your hiking the PCT, which I know you way into it by now. I started watching Carrie Rucker's channel of her hike as she stopped into the crystal store I work at in Dunsmuir, CA. You have a wonderful spirit that is filled with lots of light and caring for others.
Just came across your channel and I look forward to following you along the PCT, I have followed 12 or so all the way through vlogs and it is funny how I recognized some of the trail after the 3rd one. The 1st one I followed was Restless Kiwi, then Marys outdoor adventures, Kate Mccloud, IbTat (the Marys and IB Tat were epic finishes) and Homemade wanderlust. I followed more but these were the most visual, had great conversation, IB Tat's conversation was e hem, unique. Looking forward to see what you have the time to share and your own twist on vlogging! I so appreciate you filming this!
Hello... 👋👋 I started watching this, actually on Episode #21 now, watching them all, and wanted to tell you I've never seen your videos before but was looking for the LA Aqueduct one because my son (who doesn't post anything) is actually doing the PCT. His encountered terrible conditions and will miss many parts of it, similar to you. Watching your PCT Adventure gave me a perspective of what he's experiencing, though yours wasn't as bad as what he's experiencing, actually today! Anyways just wanted to say HI 😊 and thank you for such beautiful videos and knowledgeable information. I like your commentary better than the music 😊... you are one strong and determined young lady. CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 🎉 for your accomplishments!! Keep hiking, BE SAFE
New subscribers here ! We did a marathon on your PCT hike until I can barely open my eyes last night 😂now I starting watching again while having coffee !starting EP:12 !i told my husband im not doing anything today until im done watching your PCT video 😂( im watching it on my 75” tv in my husband YT account so it will be bigger screen :)
You're so Cute! Hope you have an incredible time & a safe, amazing journey!!! Great footage btw, I've been in planning mode for PCT for the last year or so, so I'm stoked to follow your journey. Have Fun!!!
@@ArielleShipe Can I ask a question please? When you have to do the bigger water carry and use your cnoc bags, how do you carry them? Inside your packs?
This is great! I'll probably never do this myself, so nice seeing what the trails are like. Really makes me feel what it's like to be there. Was taking to my buddy today about how we focus so much on the goal (do 15 miles/get to CA/whatever) that we sometimes don't enjoy the journey. Hope you guys find joy on the road. PS: hope you brought moleskin for the blisters.
Congrats on doing such an epic challenge like the PCT hike, you guys seem to be having great fun and really giving it a go with gusto. Hopefully, you can try our magnificent Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland in the near future. Fantastic effort!
Stoked that you started your PCT journey! Have enjoyed your TRT videos, cannot wait to see the PCT through your eyes If your hitting the Tahoe area and are in need of some trail magic I would love to be able to assist! Happy trails, enjoy the South 😁
Thank you! No videos but they do share on IG! I have them all tagged in content on my IG page and will also do a intro video to all of them on here soon ☺️
@@Mark_Jacobson81 I was wondering if she got it on trail or actually on the flight - now that nobody is wearing masks in planes and airports it’s gonna spread faster
So excited for you! Can't wait for you to get to Washington! Gus and I would love to do a section with you! And when you get here do not hesitate to ask if you need anything! And as always digging your video!
I’ll give my husband the feedback (he’s editing these vlogs) but this was always something I struggled with when editing too. It’s hard to get it just right 🤪
Hello Arielle. Loved your PCT journey! It has been so long since you have uploaded new video? I am heading out on the PCT this March 2024. I invite you to check it out at Plant Papa.
