If you like outdoor adventures then you are in the right place! My name is Arielle and I am an outdoor adventurer vlogger based in Colorado. I'm a big fan of hiking, climbing, biking, and any outdoor adventure I can bring my dog on. After being forced to reschedule in 2020, I am excited to set out on my lifelong dream of hiking the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) in 2022 but in the meantime, I want to climb mountains, explore, and take as many adventures in my converted van as possible! I post new videos every Sunday. Hit that subscribe button and come along for the journey :)
A great series of PCT vlogs. Many of us can't spare 5/6 months to thru hike so it is interesting to follow that perspective/challenge here. Section hiking has it's challenges ( and it is what most hikers do) but this is an epic thru hike account that is well narrated and insightful. If I thru hiked then this is a good blueprint for maintaining drive and enthusiasm for sure. A lot of pressure to complete but that seems unlikely these days with the amount of fires in CA and Oregon . Gear reviews ( albeit sponsored!) shows what can make it through the 2600 odd miles.
Yeah I had the same issue with the full sized Sawyer. We attempted to filter one questionable stagnant source of water and it was rendered useless afterwards. Back flushed it vigorously but still it stayed slowed to a trickle. Since dehydration is the number one killer of hikers I don't take any chances and we upped our game to the Guardian. It's not really something you think about in the realm of luxury items but the ability to leave it out in the cold and the lightening fast speed of filtering definitely blends that area of necessity and luxury.
Cnoc is an old Gaelic word for Hill or knoll. It almost invariably in Gaelic has an "R" sound when an N follows a consonant so it's pronounced Croc according to the Irish.
Can’t believe I found someone who did this hike on RU-vid. I did this trail out of willow lake on one of my first trips to the Bells around 1996, even back then the trail was non existent on the maroon lake side. Steeps scree for about 500 ft then steep gully traversing all the way down. The hike back over Willow pass is the way to get back unless you are mentally ready for that kind of adventure. Thanks for posting and taking me back in time!
What magnificent beauty you captured in this video and shared with an awesome group of friends. And you did Columbia proud with your active display of their outdoor gear. From Fruita Co take good care
Yay! Loved following your PCT videos. I hiked to the terminus from Manning a couple days after you and was stoked to see your trail names in the log book! Man those blowdowns and mosquitos were BAD 😅 Congrats on finishing!! ❤️👏🏼
"Didn't go as planned" has been the theme for all my trips this season. It's lovely to see y'all make the best of the situation, still get in some miles and sleep under the stars.
Aw thank you! I am glad we were able to make a great trip regardless. I can totally relate too, I feel like this summer I keep getting crazy weather and having to change plans on the fly!
Love it!❤the crew is back on the PCT! Followed your previous PCT vlogs and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now an unexpected bonus addendum vlog on the PCT. 👏👏👏. Thank you for sharing.
That was awesome! Fun to see the familiar faces. The PCT threw you another curve ball, and once again, you adapted! 👍 Glad to see the smiling faces at the terminus. 😁🌻💛
Thank you for what you do. Your videos have truly inspired me to get out and live a better life. I even made a lot of hiking videos of my own in hopes of inspiring others too. Your videos are full of adventure, friendship, and memories. Thanks for everything you do!
Aw man, I am so sorry you had to deal with an injury! I hope you are healing up quick. It will feel SO good to get back on the trail next year!! I'm so excited for you!

You are kind and a very good youtuber. I love the way you respond to everyone! You q & a at the end is so pleasing and human, awesome. It shows a lot of who you are. Keep up the good work. I subscribed and look forward to another one of your adventures. Love the hubby looks out for you too!
Excellent video. People learn so much from brave souls like you who break the trail. One thing out of all the gear you kept or sent home for me that would be a priority and an always keep is your 2 water bladder bags. One is none applies here as your bag split reflects and because water is so crucial. I come from the prepareness mentality and there could be just so many situations especially in that part of the country where you just may have to be more self sufficient meaning not relying on resuppy or towns always handy or even other people. Natural disasters especially big ones is what comes to mind. Since you can actually boil water to make it safe not having a back up filter is maybe understandable. But i would still have one. Having a back up lighter would be key on my list too. And one more thing a SWAT T and mainly because it can be used as a compression wrap as well as a tourniquet. The thing is so small and lite i have one in every med kit. I have seen people use these to self rescue where it would not have been possible really without it. So with the CNock for 1L at 2.8 ounces, the back up Bic at 1.6 ounces and the SWAT T at 4 ounces= 7.14 ounces and probably lighter then a phone holder or selfie stick which will not save your life. Neither will ____ whatever luxury item, face cream, amera gear in general or whatever.
A huge thank you for all that information. Living with celiac, dreaming of a thru hike and not knowing where to begin my "food planning", that video is a game changer for me. (sorry for my english, I am french canadian)
