2024 CDT: Finish the triple crown! Just teasing; you guys and girl are examples of how to live life. You've had more adventure in 148 days than most do in a lifetime! You all seem like great humans, and luck to have each other to do these adventures with. Thank you for your videos. They have been an inspiration!
Wow! Can’t believe how your posts are coming to an end. It’s been so fun following you all. It’s been such a fun journey watching your adventures. Even the nail biter times, you always made us giggle and smile. Thanks for the views. Happy trails
Happy Trails indeed, 4 of em, on a Friday that equals 4 Beers. I’ve watched your first steps north it was long ago and here you are, here we are what a journey you took us all on what a magnificent effort and you did it all with grace and humility. Your why the Pacific crest Trail is not just great, but inspires greatness and excellence. Now on to those 4 beers because as your journey ends, so does this happy trails drinking rampage you sent me on I gained 4 pounds but I’m a runner and they’ll melt away very soon but my memories of your trip will last. It was a pleasure, happy trails.
Happy for your completing this adventure, but not going to lie....feeling a little sad that it is coming to an end. Congratulations No Filter, Rumbles, Hazel and all the others who joined you along the way. Happy Trails Boys!
Hi Rumbles and No Filter (and Mrs Rumbles ) You guys were the first You Tubers I found when I searched "PCT 2023" on RU-vid. I've been following your journey since April as that's when my daughter started her PCT adventures. Thank you for filming the banner and rocks at Lion's Den. I actually saw my daughter's name on the banner and her painted rock! Wishing you guys happy trails for the rest of your hike.
I must admit a bit of a sad, empty feeling knowing your videos will come to an end. It's been spectacular! Will miss the Codgers -- and that of course includes Hazel! Codger video faithful to the end!!
Big Bubble. I have been there since day one ,it’s been a great trip,my first time watching the PCT , I am going to miss watching but I have learned a lot , Happy Trails I have enjoyed every minute ♥️🌿🍃
Almost there! So exciting! As of this date, Sept 15th, you will have completed the PCT and maybe even be back home. What a journey it's been! The Lion's Den was so nice and lots of hikers there. I'll really miss you Codgers, Codgerette and tramily. Your videos and views were amazing. You all did so well and your daily planning also worked well. Looking forward to your Canada border video! Take care.
Lion's Den looks like a nice place! It reminds me of Casa De Luna in SoCal, that closed down a few years ago. Terry provided the all you can eat taco salad at night and pancakes in the morning. Congrats on reaching Canada. Will you finish parts of CA you missed now? I'm going to miss you when you're done with the PCT. How about entertaining your faithful fans with a CDT Hike? You have a captive audience, that's for sure! Thanks for posting!
I stayed at that site on my way back from Canada in early August. It's one of the largest sites in WA as you have seen. Looking forward to your trek back into the Sierra.
Going to miss you & your wonderful vdeos, all so interesting, but thrilled to be so close to the end of your thru hike. I’m very hopeful you will do a few more after you finish, reflecting on your experiences.
Enjoyed your hike, like others wonder if you'll head back south right away to catch the sections you skipped? I don't want the hike to finish yet. I'd join you but I almost fell today feeding the feral cats who come to my porch, which has a treacherous one inch drop to the sidewalk. Ridiculous , I know. Someday I plan to complete the triple crown trails when my wife will allow. She says I'm too old, but only 76. Better be soon, as I saw on the Internet that the average life span of someone born in the year I was, is only 74. Enough about me, thanks again for taking me a long with you on this adventure.
RU-vid recommended the Codgers to me around the Day 33 mark. When a friend that started the hike with them showed up to be a trail angel during their final days in Northern California, I watched Days 1-33. This is is the only PCT Hiker vlog that weaved together a story within the hike. I don't think that was intentional, it was natural. There are names and faces you will meet and get to know along the way. There are days where my breath was taken away. Highly recommend watching from the start.
@@roamingcali am viewing from the start, is absolutely lovely and uplifting. Will watch a few a day. I love PCT and AT docs, but this one may obviously be most detailed as they cover every day. Thanks!
Oh I came so very close to finding you! I went to Mazama midday that day but didn’t go up to Harts Pass (instead checked the West Fork trailhead - official detour). Bummer! Glad all worked out for your travels!
As others have said, I'm sad that the videos are almost over :( Hopefully you guys will have a 'review and/or recap' video sometime this fall and maybe do a Q & A as well - ? Hope you'll be able to return to the Sierra to finish the section you couldn't do this year. If you do it next summer - a suggestion (I know you don't need suggestions but thought this was a neat idea); you could hike part or all of the Colorado Trail, then head over to the Sierra. You'll be conditioned and ready for those California peaks! Plus I could probably provide some trail magic in CO for you guys and maybe hike a little bit with ya'll. After all, I'm a Codger :)
Send me a note if you need lodging or transportation back in Southern Calif for the San Jacinto segment. We have a hikers haven at no cost. Showers, beds, food, and transportation. Even a spa! Cheers
Canada is within reach....congrats. Are you planning on going back to do any of the Sierras this year? If not, how many miles of the PCT will you have hiked when done?
Can't really complain about free shuttling, but that one was a little sketchy. No filter sitting under that bolt could had a pretty good divet in his head if you hit a big bump. Congrats
Take video of the wall into Canada after the terminus. We all wanna know what hiking in canada looks like and of we actually need a passport. I'm doubtful. But then again it's the border of America
If you are in Seattle I was a cook there for 25 years in 25 different kitchens. You must visit Tilikum Place Cafe. It's under the space needle a block away. The best food I've ever cooked or eaten. Try brunch. Trust me
