great video. I like the style of this vid where you work on a problem and we see your thought process and then follow by a short explanation of the problem.

The only part i got confused here, is why the LL is applied at the Roof, when the concrete is still being poured. I figured the the construction LL is the workers moving around after the concrete was set lol, not during pouring.

I understand where youre coming from, however, we must take into account that the guys pouring the concrete are still walking around on top of the rebar and formwork being supported by the shoring on the second floor.

So you are supposed to assume that there is shoring on top of the roof? I think that is the only part that is confusing me.

I find the problem statement to be somewhat ambiguous, should it not be more clear that the shore stud is at the edge or in the field of the diaphragm? Just was a question I had solving it before watching the video. Absolutely awesome content!!

I'm curious how the shoring load applies to the tributary area. I see it's provided in psf , but in my head the only weight component to the shoring would be the weight of the poles themselves 🤔

this is a great point - the shoring would only be considered on the second floor and the shoring on the ground floor would be ignored. another practice problem that doesnt do a great job of covering a real world scenario!

Does have ACCESSIBILITY codes questions from college quiz to S. E. Exams? Hallway or doorway has be wider with disabilities laws vs "normal" Hallway or doorway without disabilities laws that could be impact the structure system.

@@Kestava_Engineering do you ever head ADA Coordinator? Some of them are specialized working with architect, engineers, other designers and construction workers. Some of them has their own fully focus on accessibility firms or working in architecture, engineering and/or construction firms If building owner doesn't meet Disabilities laws, then they hired ADA Coordinator meet sure to meet Disabilities laws.
