His voice is so majestic. He sang two very memorable Disney classic songs. He sang the Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion (first time I ever heard her) and A Whole New World With Regina Bell. Both were radio hits.
This man is an all time favorite. He, Roberta Flack, Phyllis Hyman and Natalie Cole brought smoke back in the day. I think his greatest song was "Feel the Fire."
My cousin sang backup for Peabo back in the 1980s and 1990s. I was young at the time so I didn't get to know what was really going on. She had good things to say about him. I just remember them always traveling to Asia and Europe. That was the first time I realized how popular R&B is in some of those countries. She still sings but is now an independent artist.
Yeah, Peabo is a great singer. He has a deep discography that spans the 70's - 2018 (Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced his last album). Interesting that you compare him to Luther because Luther contributed background vocals to his first album, along with Cissy Houston (Whitney's mother). He wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on that album. My favorite Peabo song is "If Ever You're In My Arms Again."
