Just saw him Sunday in Phoenix- he opened with this and he is so on point even now. A little older but he can rock a room. Blew the roof off the place! Love him so much!!
Underrated song and every version of this song sounds wonderful. From the original version with Johnny Mathis, to Al Wilson’s version and of course Peabo Bryson’s version.

What are you talking about??? There's not a note he struggles with or can't hit in this cover. If you're trying to understands why me distances himself from the mic at times, that is considered Mic Dynamics, a techniques used by all accomplished vocalist.
@@1mikera You must just be on here to argue with people and find fault with what they comment on because clearly you did not read what I said. Anybody can tell when a singer is going to have trouble with a certain note so they go somewhere else with it and that's what he did with this song
@@sardaracampa1733 Dear Sandar, I'm never wanting to argue with anyone and apologize if that's how my comment was received by you. But I'm very familiar with Mr. Bryson's body of works and ability and he had no such moment in they tune. He's made the song his own with the arrangement and phrasing and such had and didn't approach and notes that he couldn't hit, so I didn't interpret his performance like you did as "going some where else", that was his arrangement not his inability. Sorry you took it personally.
@@sardaracampa1733 Actually he has the range to hit all the notes in the original song, I've heard him sing live in higher registers. The mic pull away is a common technique to control volume when singers start to belt a note that they hear in their monitor that may be louder than normal.
