For the first time I have a bloom a lovely white one . I’ve been putting my plant near the window a few times a week for a few hours . I only water when the leaves droop . I used feed about every 3rd watering . Thanks for the info it has helped a lot
Mine isn't doing well after re potting also my my leave are going brown so here's hope Mr green fingers magical wisdom rubs off and actually get some life back into it 🌱
I have kept peace Lily in my bedroom and take it outdoors for one or two hours every alternate day. The problem is that it’s leave have started getting dry.
After a long long wait of many months I am seeing a tiny white bud in my peace lilly n I am so thrilled about it. Please guide me more to take care of it
Mine is blooming, but only green blooms. It is on the southern, sunniest windowsill, so no lack of light, but still only blooms green 😓 I have had it for a year now and it tripled in size, so overall seems happy😊❤
I am glad that your plant got tripled in size n growing happily..😊😊 You are right..since it's on Southern side, there shouldn't be any lack of light. But still, you can try once moving to more bright area.
I absolutely love the details of your videos. I have just ordered several of the fertilizers needed for adenium, peace lily and others and will apply these methods to my garden. I would very much appreciate a calendar for all indian plants, when to prune and when to fertilizer as it gets very complicated for us beginners. 🙏
I have 10 pots of peace lily but in small pots they are blooming nicely in their own time I only gave banana, onion fermented water every 2month.No chemical.
My peace lily is in very bad condition, I used good soil and fertilised regularly also but no growth is there, now I will try to grow in your way, let's see whether it will bloom this time or not
Great video. Question... my peace lily blooms regularly with tall strong-stalked spathes, I have the plant in my living room window where it receives a good amount of natural light (no direct sun), and I water regularly... but why does my peace lily still droop?
I live in north India where there are extreme temperatures Till March April my peace lily plant was blooming perfectly but as the temperature crossed 40 degrees its leaves started getting black and no flowers blooming ,Please suggest
What about using water from washing rice before cooking? It did a lot to revitalize our different plants in soil, including the our ponytail looking plant (sorry, dunno official name), but we're not sure all of our plants in soil should actually be getting this water. We haven't added rice water to plants in water because we're afraid of insects. 😱 In fact, we haven't added fertilizer into plants in water at all because of fear of insects. 😅 How to fertilize water plants without encouraging insects? If anyone can share knowledge to my questions, I'd be glad to learn. Thanks!
Please advice.Grape Jasmin, hibiscus, oleander have all grown so well but not a flower in any of them . My neighbours just do not even look at them but they get several blooms 😀
Will it be healthy and fine if I put it under direct sunlight for straight 4 hrs in some days and then after some days repeat the process again? I too bought it to keep inside my room but it never blooms
@@GardeningUpbeat Thank you very much! My peace lily has many blooms, though some are green, so they have now been moved to a brighter spot. A kalenchoe is starting to bloom again, following your advice for them. It is all very exciting. I hope that you and your plants thrive, too.
I am so happy for your and glad to know, I could do something :-) Most of them are doing good except few...Weather is also changing..so, few succulents are struggling as rainfall in my place is quite high. TC and see u soon!
In a gurdwara hall 50 by 50 ft I have kept ten peace lily plants.thete is bright light air circulation etc.but no blooms. Please help. What other indoor flowering plants can be kept.
Look like you need to feed them or apply Gibralic acid as light looks sufficient enough. But still, plz try to move your plant to some other location and see if there is any change. For indoor flowering plants, please check out the list here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L6ChsN6hpTk.html Please note - First one is Phalaenopsis orchid, not Dendrobium orchid. But Dendrobium orchid can be grown indoor as well. I just identified wrongly...
I have got the plant recently but it hasn't been blooming. The leaves are drooping also. I am careful about water and sunlight but still it is not blooming :-(
Quite common symptoms found on Peace Lily and if you are able to see only on few older leaves, it's okay. But, if it's on all the leaves, then are some issues. It's could be because of 2 reason - 1. Lack of enough bright light and soggy soil. 2. Lack of water but I suspect this would be the issue. If the tips are brown and crispy when we touch, it's because of underwater. If the tips are soft and brown, more likely more water and lack of enough bright light. Very soon I would do a detailed video about why tips turn brown. There are many things to be considered!
Thank you So much :-) Sure, jaruar de sakte hai..lakin organic use karna jyada acha hai. Chemical dene se, mitti jaldi kharab ho jata hai. May bhi kabhi kabhi NPK use karta hu..lakin, stop karna hoga :-)
Ca I send photo of my peace Lilly. It's in shade but it is turning black. It's getting direct sunlight for morning three hours. Thef fliwer didn't open up. Please help.
Sorry for the late reply...Peace lily doesn't prefer direct sunlight and this is why leaves are turning black (the tips if I am not wrong?) This may happen in 3 cases - under-watering, over-watering or direct sunlight. Though, initially the leaves turn to very light green or yellow when they get direct sunlight. If they are getting enough bright light with having good airflow, potted in well drained potting soil mix, then we won't get any issues. Usually they need more frequent watering than many of the other indoor plants like ZZ, Money plant etc. But soil should be very well drained. If you like, definitely you can send pics of your plant to my email id - gardeningupbeat[at]gmail.com. Please replace [at] with @. Thank you!
Sure, we can! But more flowers would be only by next year as season is almost about to end. But still, better to repot and that way, it would look much healthier next year. All the best!
Depending on weather, you may need to water more frequently than once a week. Same way, if the soil is too wet and compact, that time also same symptoms is visible. Please dig few inches and check the soil once. You would come to know whether you are over-watering or under-watering. Good luck :-)

Flower pods take some days to open..no worry, they would bloom :-) At this time, just not make sure NOT to overwater and keep in bright area. Good luck!
No but still it depends on environment..they usually need more water than most of the other indoor plants...Bit less water and they start to droop. From how many year you have been growing Peace Lily, if I may know?
Thankyou for sharing your knowledge even if you think you know a lot, but everyday is a school day, so again thankyou 🤗 also give your gorgeous dog a back scratch for me👍
Peace lily will bloom only when it's root bound hence don't use big pot since if the pot is big then it takes time to get root bound. Once root bound the tree gets signal that it's going to die and hence it reproduces jn the form of blooms. Next to get more blooms just add banana peels to the pot and see the results
@Jayanthi manoharan, Sorry for being not agree with you! Use a good sized pot and let them grow a bit. If they are not blooming well, you would be very happy with the results of next year!
Mine has lived for years in 25 cm pot. It is root bound until leaves are wrinkling. The stem has become woody with lots of aerial roots on it. Never bloomed, not even once! Lucky you.
Thanks for the detailed video. My Peace Lilly is getting the bloom, but they are not at all opening even after many days. They turn out brown and dries out.
You are most welcome and thank you for your feedback! Please provide more bright light and fertilize your plant. It happens when there is lack of light..
R u applying all the fertilizers u showed in above video ? Because if u feed plants with one fertilizer u cannot feed it with other fertilizer. So if have 4-5 fertilizer, one will be used only once in a year.
You are most welcome Ma'am and thank you so much for your support, much appreciated! Good to know you have a large collection, great job! Sir is not required though..Mr. Gardening Upbeat would be nice :-)
Interesting video. Have you seen how some people grow peace lilies in water like with fish in a bowl? They seem to do well. I will try putting some in with my little Medaka fish.
Thank you so much and glad you liked it :-) It's Cotton Candy Fern. I have a video on it in case you are interested - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fh7_hay5ryI.html
