I made this tonight and it was awesome. The cake was fluffy and delicious. My pears were very juicy so I did reduce the water by half and I did 3/4 c sugar in the pears. This is a keeper. I've already put it in my recipe binder. Thanks
Making this right now!! Had some pears that I needed to do something with and found this recipe. Simple yet... I know it is going to be delicious!! Thank you!
I’m using this recipe for every fruit Cobbler now. Was so amazing, not overly sweet and perfect texture. Super moist and tasty ❤️❤️❤️ Only person I see do cobbler right since my sister from Georgia moved away. I’m sure you can throw down in the kitchen hun!
gonna give this a try later this week without self rising flour, hopefully the salt/ap flour/baking powder combo people tout is a good replacement. edit: came out really good, this recipe is very forgiving. I padded out the missing pears with apples, and barely smoothed out the batter. nice way to use up some milk and fruit that were sitting in my fridge. (used the 1 cup ap:1.5tsp baking powder:1/4tsp salt ratio for the batter)
I wish I watched before... I put other ingredients in my mixer and they stuck in the bottom then the butter ....it was terrible !! Your recipe looks much easier and tastier !
If you don't have the ingredients, don't make this recipe. And no, you can't substitute pancake mix if you want to make THIS recipe and get the results you've seen in the video. THIS IS NOT A 'PRO TIP', despite what the person says. jfc
So, I had to substitute the cornstarch and other thing with all purpose flour. And the dough came out kinda gooey. Like it wasn't done. So, to anyone that had/has to do what I did, I'd recommend baking it until golden brown. Which would probably be longer, but its ight
We will not make any substitutions or add anything because we like YOUR recipe. I watched YOUR video to make YOUR recipe not my version of YOUR recipe. If I dont have the ingredients, I won't make it. Thanks
