Wish it would have stayed at 6,444 population. It was quiet and serene. Now, native Pearlanders are witnessing it stripped of the hometown feel, only to be replaced by an influx of people changing it to their liking ..To newly inhabit and stealing a heritage instead of embracing and accepting it is wrong, but it has happened. A new city should have been established for the west side beyond Cullen. All the Hwy 228 and surrounding area is not Pearland, no matter what you say...it isn't. In the hearts of the ol' timers is to know Pearland.
