This year has been particularly difficult to find opportunities to run trains. Either the weather has not been conducive or, when it has, I've been involved in other activities. However, in October, three days of glorious weather and no other commitments enabled me to run a full session - the first instalment of which I share here, Peckforton Light Railway is a 45mm gauge, 15mm scale garden railway situated in Cheshire UK. It depicts my idea of a railway which might have existed to serve the local communities and copper mines along the Peckforton Hills in mid Cheshire. By far the best G gauge Garden railway on youtube, it amazes me that you only have a relatively low number of subscribers. I could watch this all day. So reminiscent of a col.Stevens enterprise. Really quaint and quirky. Quite wonderful! Thank you for sharing your vision, skills and enterprise with all of us!

Good to see the railway in action again.✌️💜👍😊 We've not run ours for three years and my own line has required new baseboards in recycled plastic. The stars never seem to align and it's rained a lot this summer 😕

My word I reckon that tarantula if chucked in the firebox would have produced enough steam to get to the sawmill and back. Talking of which I'm sure I could hear the sawmill running in the background? I agree that the weather has held up railway activities for me this year.

Really love the shot at 4:50, the moss looks amazing and really helps the rockery blend in with the rest of the scene. Always a treat whenever you upload, Rik. I've been a bit discouraged with the slow pace on my own railway, but little by little it's taking shape.

The moss is probably the outcome from one the main reasons I've struggled to run a full session this year. More days with rain than without 😢..

Wonderful, as always. It’s October - the cobweb is clearly a Hallowe’en decoration! And has the tractor had a coat of paint?

When the down sand and the up ore meet, there is a lovely well proportioned (in scale) tree beyond the fence. Do you know what type of tree it is?

Hi Jim. It's a Hebe. Not sure of the exact variant but it has fairly small leaves and as you can see a tree like structure.

I always enjoy coming back and watching your videos. I've also recently purchased a re-gaugeable Friog Punch which I will be collecting at Saturday's Llangollen Garden Rail Festival, so I'll be delving into the world of 45mm gauge!
