I always wanted to eliminate the throttle lag in my 2017 TRD Sport 6MT. I was up in the air if I should get a PC or a OTT. As Rob points out...for me, all I wanted to do to was to eliminate the throttle lag so I went with a PC. Love this product, I think it looks great and really like the settings and the ability to just turn it off. My throttle lag is gone and it makes my MT a real pleasure to throw the gears with some acceleration! I also used your discount code Rob, thanks!

Just installed my pedal commander in my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. My truck has never responded so accurately no lag at all it was awesome. My automatic is so happy to be alive. Thanks sir for the info on pedal commander. Will mount it tomorrow in a permanent spot.

I installed the Sprint Booster in my 2022 Taco 4x4 TRD OFF ROAD MANUAL..since it's the only one that won a SEMA award. I have to say it's AWESOME!. A definite first mod to do. Pedal Commander is good as well..I just went with a tried and true product and because the controller is small enough to blend in with the push button cluster on the dash.

I agree. I have a Sprint Booster on my Tacoma and my wife's Camry. The controller is inconspicuous and not gaudy looking. Once set, there's no need to mess with it.

Had my Tacoma serviced today. 30000k miles and drives and looks great! I unhooked my pedal commander beforehand and that process was easy. Just finished reinstalling it. I love it. ❤️ Great videos bro

Just got this last week based on your several reviews. I have a 2015 Tacoma with 144k miles. Been waiting for the 24 Tacoma, but after dealing with several dealerships, I just can’t bring myself to pay 65k for a Tacoma. So I decided I would wait a year or so and see what happens with the pricing. So, I decided I would get the PC and see if it brought new life to the truck. Man did it ever! It’s like driving a new truck. This thing is great! Thanks for the tip and great vids.

After installing the Sprint Booster in mine I started the truck, put it in reverse and it jumped out of the garage more than I expected. Knew immediately it was not a waste of money. So whether Sprint or Commander it's definitely a huge improvement over stock.

Works great on my 4Runner. My 2018 Tundra has a "Tow/Haul" mode button that essentially does the same thing.

I think the throttle lag can be dangerous. I was on the interstate the other day and I tried to pass a slow driver. I needed to speed up to get over and my truck took too long to get up to speed. So I had to hesitate and wait for traffic to pass. It was a little embarrassing because I signaled and had to back out of my lane change due to throttle lag. These Taco’s need a sport mode for sure.

In addition to the Pedal Commander, I have installed the Shift Sense Pro from DZ Custom Innovations. With that combination, I am finally getting the acceleration I was expecting. The stock shift points felt too timid to me; like I was in ECO mode full time.

Also, Hawaii had their share of sugar cane burn as the sugar stalks 👀 are gathered for the sugar processing in the sugar mills. I bought my tacoma at the end of July last year, I have only 300 miles on it. I know I haven't really drove it enough to notice the lag in the transmission. When I get her out more I will check out a pedal commander if I feel there is lag! Thanks for the advice bro! Great channel love the content!

I have the Banks in my Superduty Godzilla and love it. I am thinking the Pedal Commander for my wife's Taco. It has a 2 year warranty and Sprint looks like only 30 day. The Taco does not feel like 278hp. It feels like the EPA has the auto manufacturers making stuff boring for us to drive.

I had to laugh. When you said there's nothing wrong with your vehicle when you first get it, it's all shinny and new, but then, after a while, when you get used to it......". Well, I had that, "but then" moment, when I took my 4Runner for a test drive, before I even signed the paperwork. I hadn't even completed the turn out of the dealership parking lot onto the road and I was thinking..."am I spinning my tires here?" I knew that 4Runners were pretty sluggish, but WOW! I didn't expect a crippled turtle wearing orthopedic shoes trying to scale Pikes Peak; what a dog! Now, that wasn't a deal breaker. People don't buy 4Runners to take to the track, we aren't looking for 0 to 60 in under 3; nor are we looking to pull a house of its foundation. We buy 4R's because we like their reliability, versatility and off the beaten path capability. Now, that being said, still, we don't want to get rear-ended trying to merge onto the highway, because it's taken 1/2 an hour to get up to speed, either, and in a 4R, it really feels like that. Pulling out into traffic almost requires 1/4 mile of clearance between you and the oncoming cars, or you feel like you just aren't going to make it LOL. So, the PC, for a 4R, is almost as important to have as gasoline. There's just not enough acceleration built into the vehicle to really be safe in some situations. The vehicle can't even get out of the way of itself, let alone some road hazard that requires a quick momentary acceleration to avoid. So, one of the very first things I did when I got home with my shinny, new 4R, was to order a PC. I was tempted to call the dealership and demand that they pay for it, because in my opinion, it should come as standard equipment for the vehicle, at no extra cost to the customer. The tune fixes the shift points throttle lag and fuel look up overland tune it’s also undetectable if you need to take it into the shop for warranty work as for that pedal commander you need to remove it or by by to warranty

A tune can change the things you mention, but it is certainly detectable by the shop. As soon as they plug into the ECU they'll see that the stock programming has been altered.

Im thinking about getting one too but i have a question for you, i did research and one thing im concerned is how can an electrical unit (that is pedal commander) really affect performance cuz from what i see it makes the pedal more sensative and throttle is told to open faster or slower.. its just a taught can u give an answer

It won't since the rev hang is a mechanical property of a light weight clutch system. I don't have a Tacoma but I have a 6 speed Gladiator. The Pedal Commander makes a big difference in acceleration between gear shifts but rev hang remains. The only way to get rid of rev hang imo is to get a heavier clutch system like Centerforce II for example.

Pedal Commander will put more pressure on CVT transmission . The System will think that you are flooring the Car which will induce more load on the transmission , So I recon this is not for CVT transmission as CVT cars are already made to save fuel rather not for sports and running on high RPMs .

I disagree. The system will only "think" you are flooring the vehicle if you actually floor the vehicle. Pedal Commander eliminates throttle lag by getting rid of signal delay. How far you engage the accelerator is up to you.
