Worked like a charm on both our 08 4runner and 07 sequoia, both 4.7L V8s! Wow, vehicles feels lighter like it can fly...definitely brings out full potential of horses! Set both on city +4 as that seems best. Be careful of burning tires!
Just buy one. You WILL notice the HUGE difference in response to your right foot. Yes, getting that plug off the top of the accelerator pedal is a huge pain. Yes, it's contortionist fiddly if youre over 5' tall, but an easy 5 minute upgrade. Just do it. You won't regret it ! Oh!, and hide it away and use their app on your phone to try out the different settings until you find one that suits you.
Do you have a vid of the performance in sport plus? That would be very helpful to show the acceleration performance. That would helpful and more convincing. Thx
There is no question that you will notice a difference. It fulfills a different need than your supercharger, it will make it feel WAY more responsive and have immediate power.
It does! We have a 2010 4runner here actually with one installed, on those you'll only have one connection above the pedal. It should be identical almost to the newer 5th gens as far as install.
Sorry to hear, sometimes they can be really annoying to undo. You'll want to be careful doing this but sometimes we will use a small flat head screw driver just because after some time your fingers get really tired. Usually with some wiggling it'll give pretty easy when you wouldn't expect it.
I've heard the normal throttle in 4thgen 4rnr (without pedal commander) is between 'eco' and 'city' mode. I was wondering if this is true, and if so, is there an option to turn pedal commander off when plugged in?
That's a good question, That could be accurate but Im not exactly sure where the factory throttle response lies in comparison but based on my experience with them I would say its pretty close to the city mode on the Pedal Commanders.

These are great, but removing one is impossible. Short of breaking it, we could not unplug the damn thing. Had to leave it on when we sold it, and buy a new one for the same kind of truck. Disappointing. 🫤
