Orange, known primarily for their quality amps have now thrown their hat in the effects pedal ring! Orange rolled out a line of pedals that serve as effects pedal sized components of their famous British amp sound. The line includes an, EQ, Compression, Buffer, Clean Boost, Fuzz and Overdrive. Today Nick and I are taking a look at the brand spankin' new "Getaway Driver" overdrive pedal (get it?).

Sounded pretty rad on bass for sure. I’ve got an Orange TB1000, and it’s similar to if you dime the input gain. I dig it.

I use an orange 2x10 bass cab with ad30 guitar amp and it sounds fucking awesome Next time your in my town you can come round and try it out, then you'll probly buy one! Peace and love from Bristol, England x

Was the bass part done with the internal switch engaged?

Could see using this in a studio setting on a drum track where the beat rides on the floor tom. Mic the floor tom, play 16ths, mic going to tube amp then record off amp into session.

Maybe it's just a mental block but for some reason 9/10 times when an amp company comes out with a pedal, I'm totally disinterested. Maybe I'm missing out but... I don't think so.
