With the dawning of 2019, it’s time to look back on the effects pedals in 2018 that we absolutely loved. This past year was a great year for effects pedals, but these are the pedals that we kept coming back to. Without further ado, here are Pedals and Effects top 10 pedals (in no order), of 2018.

Just begrudgingly sold my soundblox2 reverb. Loved the tones out of that thing. Source Audio kicks ass. (also rocking the 3-way expression on my board)

@Source Audio you guys have been on my radar since way back when I saw that STS9 (Hunter and maybe Murph) were using some of your gear. Back then those guys were blowing my mind and I loved a glimpse into their pedalboards. All the stuff with the laptops using MIDI keyboards, Ableton, and whatever else was *way* over my head (but they did sell me on Macs since they could be trusted not to freeze/crash).

Just connected the Disaster Area DMC-3XL (gen3) to the Meris Enzo. Works like a monster (also passes expr-pedal data) and sends midi to my other pedals!!

That spring reverb sounded cool, tho I'd have modded a tilt sensor/accelerometer into it so that you could actually whack it and get some gnarly sproink sounds.

The Tensor has to be my top new pedal of 2018. Its head spinning how much it can do. I wouldn’t be surprised to see people using more than one on a pedalboard. Hmm, I wonder if the Meris Preset Pedal would work with the Red Panda Tensor? Trying to be lazy and avoid having to make my own Remote Controller...must have that added control!
