There are two grains that are pretty under utilized in the distilling world: sorghum and millet. Both have high amylase content and are used to make beer in their native home in Africa. Sorghum stalks when green can also be juiced to make a sugar cane like juice which you could ferment out to make a temperate version of aquardiente. Any of these would be a cool distillation.

I think you both should have used the same base spirit! So then it would better highlight the peeps and only use one flavour of them at a time. And sorry to say, the peeps on top of the glass are not playing fair! As we taste with our eyes and smell. But Erin played the game ever while and she had a higher concentration of peeps by using less base spirit in the still to start. I can't even imagine the other one but I want to try it. oh try brewing multiple cherry juice in bottle then stilling it down for the Sherry - fortified wine style mixing in with some of the original brew after clearing. I used the Cranberry - Cherry stuff with best results.. 10 day turbo 3 days fridge. lower the PH
Since the original peeps flavor came through the best and didn't over power the spirits, I would say the original yellow and pink peeps won hands down.
Not the first time ive seen peeps fermented. Theres a viral post going around of a homebrewer who filled a carboy with pink peeps. Just look for peepswine
You guys have some crazy flavoured Peeps there in NZ. We have nothing like them here in Canada. We have the Peeps chicks in a few different colours but they're not flavoured.
When you do this kind of video, please somewhere in the beginning of the video, explain what the ingredients (in this instance "peeps) are. In Denmark we don't have those, so I am kind of in the dark.... Distilling anything in illegal here as well, so I cannot try for myself...... Have a nice day 👍

I liked this competition, but I’ll never understand picking Dr. Pepper anything for its flavor. Every few years I end up trying it again to see if my tastes have changed but I can’t like it. To me, if evil had a flavor, it would taste like Dr. Pepper.
tried to roast them over a fire, peeps don't burn they just melt and smoke, and nasty looking when they melt. tasted not to bad but I`m sticking with marsh mellows.
Jessie Hi from Canada. I just started a Red Label Angel yeast apple cider fermentation. Holy Crap I have never seen something go off so fast and so hard. It's like meth addicts at the frigging high school prom. I ordered off Amazon what I had hoped was the Angel Yellow label but guess I ordered the high test Red Stamp by mistake or something, I considered not making a batch but hey it was here so gotta try it right? I have never seen a yeast go so hard and fast as this stuff. I am only doing small 6 gallon batches of apple cider, pretty basic by even beer standards. But I saw your reviews on Angel yeast so what the fuck let's try. I am totally convinced that this shit can really do a cold rice sake or what ever I put my mind to. I have an an air still on the way so I will see what it can do now too. But for the time being I am happy enough to be able to make Sake or Sojou with the apparently magic yeast. Winnipeg, Manitoba has a sizable Asian Community so I could probably source Koji Spores for real Sake but baby steps for now. Once again cheers from Canada Jessie
