To think 2023 I come back after not listing to pegboards since middle school. And still get the same hype feeling. It was like a flashback of my childhood. A fresh sip of cold water to hydrate my soul. Glad I was part of the generation to watch monster cat and there artist become become in the electric music scene.
I was immediately brought back to PBN after watching "The Warriors" and hearing THE ICONIC "CAN YOU DIG ITTT" and thought OMFG I NEVER KNEW WHERE THAT WAS FROM!! Pegboard Nerds will forever be the greatest artist in my heart
I'm sorry but pegboard nerds you guys are my favourite artist, and the best out of the whole Monstercat roster. Every song you make is quality and unique. Please keep doing your thing it provides so many eargasms across the world everyday.
Any of you know that parts of The Warriors(from the 70s) movie was put into this song? Very cool how they did that.. I thought this music was far from old generations and past things of that nature.. very cool. By the way, The Warriors is one of my all-time favorite movies..
To help all of you people that are confused. "Lukz" Is a combat arms player, and he recently hit 20k subs, and used this song in his montage. Which is why everyone is saying "Lukz"

Just watched the warriors(1979) Thought I'd come here. I always thought it was a good song but now I know the background. It is phrases in the scene word for word
Speech Dude: Can you count, suckaz?! I say the future is ours, if YOU can count! ... That's 20K hardcore members! ... Now look at what we have here before us. NOTHING would move without US allowing it to happen because we got the streets, suckaz! Nobody is wasting nobody. That is a miracle, and MIRACLES are the way things ought to be! ... That's 20K hardcore members!
I can't believe i just noticed this. From 0:00 to 0:22, and throughout the song, the Japanese styled instrumental is a sample from a game on the ps2 called "Way of the Samurai 2". The actual OST is called "The Valley between Heaven and Earth: The shadow of Dreams". I knew that sounded familiar.
About 10 minutes ago I was listening to some recordings of live performances from a band called "Destroid". They've actually played this particular song in their live shows! Sounds really cool when they do it too; they can throw in some live improvisation to make it sound a little different and a little less like the original track. Unfortunately I don't think this "Destroid" band is around anymore, but they really had a pretty cool concept going on in their live shows; specifically, the electronic MIDI controller "guitars" they used were quite a fascinating concept to me. As someone who's visually impaired to the point of being completely blind, I've always wondered how those guitar things work since I first learned about that band. I have an idea of how they might be working, based on a little research I did (and also based on some RU-vid comments I read), but I'm not gonna go on a big lecture on that now; I'll do that if anyone who reads this comment wants me to though :).
