Peggy Lee did not wiggle. Her performance was understated, showing singular hints of wiggle, without any need to do much more. Smooth elegance, nuance, and sensuality, plus her expressive eyebrows

Just cause something is “old” does not mean the copyright has expired. We represent the rights to this footage on behalf of the copyright holders and put our name across the screen to protect it from those who think that “old” footage is public domain and thus use it for whatever they want.

Peggy got the arrangement of Fever just right... but this tempo, at least, is way too fast for Peggy to express the slinky eroticism of the song. It's just what it is -- a sanitized 50s tv version of what the song could be in her able caress of the words and their emotion.
