Sounds like they don’t know how to vet their chiefs if they have fired 2 in such a short time. Maybe disban the police and pay the county sheriffs to patrol the city under an inter agency agreement.
They fired the first cheif for no reason, but steamed of a personal vendetta the mayor has with me. I built the original department and she wanted it destroyed, putting this cheif in place.

An incompetent town. They were under BSO for over four decades, then they fire BSO to establish an incompetent Police Department and they’re now on their third Chief in two years. Why she left WPB and took this job is beyond Me. No matter how hard She tries to make things right, She too will be gone before the end of this year if not sooner. This Department cannot survive and eventually BSO will have to come in to clean up this mess.
Could it be that the force is corrupt and she was trying to fix things? Or was she just one more DEI hire that shows the failure of abandoning meritocracy?
24/7 service, landlocked city with one of the highest crime rates in rates in the state. 3 officers and one sgt per shift that’s 22 officers. I spent nearly 3 years putting this department together to have this cheif put on by the new commission. She failed the community.
Pembroke Park took the easy way out. 2 fired PD Commissioners and still have IA issues is unsettling. May have to clean house from Department Chiefs to beat Officers.

It's amazing to see so many minorities be caught up in inappropriate behavior after being given or elected positions of authority. Like the mayor of Dalton Ill. Or the county official Govenor Desantis of Fl fired after beung charged with scaming an elderly woman. Or the AG of NY that will be charged with prosecutorial discrimination. Maybe DEI ( Didn't Earn It ) isn't really all that great after all.

Over the last year I have been completely attacked for cleaning out the corruption of the city. Up to and including frivolous criminal charges that continue to be dismissed under this chief.

I’m guessing they did a poor job vetting her in the beginning. I’m sure she was hired to click a box and that never ends well. Hire the best. I think it looks good for the community that they don’t let infections fester.

I know thats a joke, but what BBQ has managed to do in haiti is quite impressive. Assembled a militia, decentralized the government, got the attention of the international community but most importantly he has the support of the public. Not the majority, but people will actually fight for this guy.
Maybe stop with the DEI hires and hire the most capable and competent person for the job . If that person turns out to be woman, minority, gay, or trans person so be it.
With such culturally related names of Council members & Police Chief, I'm guessing they pre-determined the race & gender of Chief BEFORE they started looking. And now, let the racial discrimination lawsuits begin which will, not surprisingly, settled out of court. 🇷🇺👍
