Section 28 on the Wales Coast Path, and this time Jan and Don are off to an early start after encountering early bird dog walkers on the beach. After a quick cuppa and cake, they embark on the epic trek to Mwnt.
Starting with an uphill climb over the cliffs to Tresaith, and then passing some interesting railway carriage conversions, they witness a sheep battle before entering Aberporth.
The lads seem very impressed with the shop in Abrerporth and also find bench of the day to drink their Vimto. It's a good job too as they have to climb 'Punishment Hill' up from Aberporth to the MOD site.
Here Don talks about missile testing before entering some inland woods, where things get a bit confusing - where the actions of a short hedge trimmer leads them on a slight diversion.
Back at the sea and the path gets very interesting with many up and down zig-zag sections through natural valleys and landslips. Led for a section by a butterfly, discarded glasses and a random radiation sign are encountered.
Finally, after stopping at a well-placed bench Jan and Don reach the impressive Mwnt with its imposing peak and beautiful church, where they've found the perfect pitch in the sun.
If you like your benches, this episode is for you, there are almost too many to count.
Jan is not bothered about beach camping and Don has an encounter with a hole.
