Used this service yesterday from Gadansk to Krakow amazing service and comfort and at a great price, the UK have definitely got it wrong with their trains, enjoy your trip
Thanks for sharing! Hubby and I are heading to Poland in August. We leave the states on the 15th flying into Warsaw. Then taking the train into Mielec to get picked up by family. Is it difficult to catch the train from the airport and any recommendations for hotels close/near airport that are easy to explore Warsaw from. Wishing you and Nina a beautiful weekend.
I dont know about the train to the airport or much about hotels near the airport. What I can say is that the Marriott and Sheraton in the city have great locations
I'm not familiar with hotels around the airport. However, the public transportation in Warsaw is timely, frequent, safe and clean. You can stay close to Warsaw Central train station. I prefer non-chain hotels and absolutely love Polonia Palace Hotel located across from the train station. Polonia Palace Hotel is the second oldest hotel in Warsaw, with Bristol being the oldest. Polonia Palace Hotel survived the war the best out of the Warsaw hotels and therefore welcomed many famous dignitaries soon after the war, including Eisenhower. The hotel definitely has a lot of history and yet it is modern at the same time. However, one of my favorite parts of this hotel is the incredible breakfast with what seems like endless selection, including champagne and vodka. Polish hotels in general have the most varied breakfasts I've seen anywhere. I'm not sure if that's the case with the chains as well. Anyway, hope you have a wonderful time on your trip!
There’s a Marriott and a Renaissance literally a hundred steps from the terminal. Both are great, with wonderful restaurants and breakfast. Just what the doctor ordered after a long flight : )
Next time perhaps you’d like to try one of the many upscale Polish hotels which are much nicer and better designed than the American chain hotels. Like Hotel Warszawa (great location and a real beauty) or the H15 Boutique hotel - unforgettable and also in a fantastic, quieter and more romantic location.

and a dreadfull blocked nose, feeling ill from aircon on the flight In Gdańsk, Sopot , Kraków railway stations are right in the middle of the towns. Airport are far from the towns .....prices for stupid sandwich cost a king's ransom. Soooo romantic to go by train. Our Polish nursery rhyme so loved : its about the train engine with the coaches : Stoi na stacji Lokomotywa...
