Back then, an older woman with a younger man wasn't very excepted. That's a pretty recent thing. The title didn't help either. People must have thought he was 16 years old, instead of 16 years younger.

Yes, sadly it was cancelled after six episodes - the UK press couldn't cope with the notion that "proper" Penelope would portray a woman in love with a much younger man, using headlines like 'Margo to Have Illegitimate Baby'
@@k8nairne Typical close-minded media/networks. Watching this and a few other of Penelope's other series (law and disorder) proved the 'upper crust' Margo and Audrey were just characters she played, but she was just as good at physical comedy (her German aupair in Every Home Should Have One was best part)
