Penetrating Fluid On STEROIDS 

My old machine shop / Auto Shop teach introduced me to a 50/50 mix of Automatic Transmission Fluid and Acetone. the stuff separates like oil and vinegar, so you have to shake it really good before you use it. but it works better than any penetrating fluid i have ever used. my theory is that the Acetone dissolves any crap around the threads and the ATF is a very thin oil so it gets in all the cracks and its a fairly decent lubricant. i hose the bolts down, wait and hour. then hit it was my cordless impact on low tightening, then spray a little more on then hit it in reverse. haven't broken a rusty bolt in years. but i have had a few that i have had to heat with a torch, wire brush, then hit them with the ATF/Acetone and let them sit overnight and then loosen them. rusty exhaust bolts mainly.

I've tried many penetrating sprays. None ever can actually get down into the threads on exhaust bolts. I use engine oil, I hit them with the rattle gun, then once they do half or a full turn, I reverse. I do this multiple times to work the oil in, no spray can beat engine oil, it wets the threads and actually hydrodynamically lubricates which peno oil cant as its too thin.

Ill stick with Wurths Injector X , its amazing stuff , or acf 50 , it has a thousand uses .
