Pennsylvania E8's and Keystone Service 670 and 665

A long time ago (20-30 years) trains ran freight on this line with electric locomotives like E33, E44, E60 and GG1. But now it is a passenger line with about 30 Amtrak trains daily and about 14 on Saturday/Sunday. The maximum speed on this line is 110 MPH on straight track. The only time freight uses this line are maintenance trains. Norfolk Southern runs a local train but it is not electrified, they use two GP38-2 and deliver lumber cars, I think they can go 50 MPH. It runs at night.

I was actually going to chase Reading and Northern Steam 425, but the weather was worse up there, besides, PRR is way better.

I would say the first 2 trains were doing about 100, the E's probably 80-85.

I saw about how bad the weather had been getting out there and on the eastern parts of the state.. Nothing but rain and more rain here, and freezing 30's temperatures. I'd agree, PRR is better than a steamer that runs from time to time.. How I just wish they ran to Pittsburgh this year from Railfest so I would've been able to catch them. Just 1 more of many things to blame the bad economy on.

Yea dude I just can't wait to start posting again, I've been dead on RU-vid ever since I hit college. I got a Mac now and I'd been doing all the editing on Adobe on the house computer so once I moved out, I've been shooting...but not posting. I"m actually on the MBTA back to school right now, and HOPEFULLY my software finally got delivered, I've been waiting weeks for this junk to come in.
