Hearing you do a PTX reaction warms my heart..and is nostalgic for me. Saw this live in Raleigh NC on saturday.....they sang it perfectly!!!!!! Matt and Scott were amazing in it!!!!!!

You've probably heard by now, but yesterday Pentatonix announced that this year's annual holiday album will be a "best of" compilation, but with 8 new songs (released date late October). And they will have a US holiday tour in November and December.

OMG, I have missed you Qofy!!! So happy to see you doing Ptx again! I have my Ptx Christmas CD preordered. Many old favs plus 8 BRAND NEW songs!! And of course a Christmas tour! PLUS- Scott has a brand new SOLO album out. Title song Parallel. Every song on it is AMAZING!!! There is a live performance of this on YT from their current summer tour if you wanna see that. Scott was on The Today Show (popular American daytime talk show) & performed parallel AND played a huge drum!!!!That's on YT as well so you need to check that out!

Saw them on 8/20. It was amazing live. 🔥 🔥. You could tell they were having a great time performing it too

I was at the first concert on the American leg of their tour, front row. Being that close, it was very obvious that they used a backing track. The claps were recorded, parts of the harmonies, maybe even some of the beatboxing. It was still epic, though, and I don't have a problem with it at all. I'm glad they are branching out. And as you can imagine, Scott went even more rogue on his parts live, lol!

We saw them sing this in Charlotte NC on the 13th and it was fantastic! They led in with a snippet of Radioactive straight into "I rise". Oh, the whole concert was great! My first time seeing them and they DID NOT disappoint! ❤

You can find several live versions as they have been performing this on the US leg of this year's world tour. I don't have your ear but it seems pretty obvious that they are performing to a pre-recorded rhythm track so that Kevin and Matt can help out with the layers of harmonies.

I saw the live version last week. It was just as good. I think they did some looping because you could see a couple of them stomping in the beginning as Scott talked.

There are already fan-cams posted of this done live, some were posted before it was released. Check it out. Watching Scott stand still and the other 4 march around him, is a sight to see. Especially Mitch, imagaine Mitch marching in the army, it's even more fun than that......🤪

It wouldn’t surprise me if a live strategy comes up early in the songwriting process. Pandemic lockdown aside, they spend so much time on the road that any new song has to have a strategy for live performances has to be part of the conversation. I love this one. Scott, Matt and Kevin are the writers on this song. Nice to see a Ptx reaction again. Lots of good live performances of this you might want to check out since they’re currently performing it on tour. Not sure who has the best recording of it yet. Maybe somebody can answer that.

You are the 1st reactor I go to whenever a band that I follow releases a new video. I saw them last year at the Hollywood bowl and I will see them September 11 in Irvine California. I am way in the nose bleed section they Kevin's 5th. It is the origin story of how Kevin hooked up with Pentatonix And he does wicked cello boxing

I hear Natural Disaster and Cracked in this song. This is definitely a new sound and direction for them. May have started with Creep.
