I'm new to your channel and I just want to say to you gentlemen that you guys are true car gods!!! I seriously thought you were just going to just fix up all the cosmetic stuff but no you went all out on everything. I'm so proud of you all and very happy for you! I can tell that you don't only do this for the money but because you love what you do. I'm not going to lie but I teared up a bit and giggled and yelled yes because what you did brought back memories of when I first watched The Fast And The Furious! I am 29 this June. I was 8 years old in 2001 when the first movie came out. remember when we had Hollywood video and Blockbuster. I miss going to rent a movie at the store. My mama told me that she rented that movie for me exactly 35 times in a 2 year period. I never wanted to rent any other movie. Only The Fast And The Furious! Paul Walker was and always will be my favorite actor and I guarantee you that he is watching you guys in Heaven and he is so proud of you for all the work you guys have done. Especially to this beautiful car. I have zero experience in working on cars but I just got a job here in Oklahoma where I am from. As a helper at a mechanic shop and hopefully in the future I can gain the experience to do exactly what you guys are doing. Thank you so much if you read this and God bless you all.
I'll save my full review until a video is posted on the ET at a drag strip... But for now, yea, you get a few points for nostalgia, but 0 points for originality, and until you get it on a track 0 points for performance.
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system
Then you sir have bad taste in cars 🤨 .this build is just basic and rice stock front and rear bumper with a rear & front diffuser basic bot on fenders and a really big wing it’s 💩 this company may build interesting custom vehicles but there so called modern fast and the furious cars are ugly and basic 😨
Great build. The wing does look out of place, as many comments have addressed. And the rear bumper I was expecting to come out different when finished. I love the attention to detail and the hood, nitrous tank setup, and wheels.
@@bengonzales1182 definitely wasn't functional. And hard to do it in a way that would be functional or not eventually separate. Bonding plastic to metal rarely lasts, especially when there's air being shoved in with no way out
@@Mike_Atwell Yeah I thought it looked cool in the movie, but at the same time, it seems like it was just for looks. I think cars with an actual functioning roof scoop would probably have a mid or rear mounted engine.
I love the people that come over and have no clue what the hell they are looking at, and just start making stuff up. If you don't know, just ask lmao. That's how you learn.
@@dimitrilax3612 Yeah I hate when people give cars shit, I mean the best cars are the unique ones, if it's done well, and its built properly it's not rice. That's the toxic part of the car community. You ask them what they drive, a basic ass civic. WOW 👌🏻 👏 😍 . "Yeah bro, this is a civic SI, it's got like 890 hp, I'll smoke that piece of shit."
@@devinb5937 dude, that's so unfair. I'm not talking trash, but TJ got his cars built for him, with his decisions and money, sure, but throtl only sent their car out of the shop for paint, and they did the rest in-house, while doing giveaway builds and a Tesla swap. TJ must have been busy af all year with other stuff, and in the end, he still gets the credit for the builds, because without him they wouldn't exist. You're allowed to dislike the model, or say that the build doesn't appeal to your taste, but even if you were building one better with the same resources, it'd be common sense and education not going around saying their build is trash after they spent so many hours building it from scratch by themselves.
In my personal opinion I think y'all did a great job on this build I just personally would have done the rear bumper different. But that is the cool part of custom cars and car builders we all like different things
I love almost everything about this car... only thing im struggling to love is the wing, dont know if its the swan necks or endplates. personally would have an APR gtc-300 or 500 (but I think it comes down to personal pref). none the less a great tribute to a genuine guy: Paul Walker - RIP
@@fast02gt i think its supposed to be, the whole thing with the early fast and furious movies was the ridiculous way they made their cars look back then. it fits the aesthetic
I'm in tears. I couldn't afford to go this year. I've watched the whole build of this on here and it would been amazing to see in person. I'm not big on Mitsubishi, but the Eclipse GSX are awesome and making this as a Paul Walker F&F tribute, friggin mind blowing in so many ways. Hope she's driving well and tuned the way you guys want and hopefully I see this go drag racing on the Hoonigan channel
I love everything apart from the cut rear bumper, but just cus that's not my taste doesn't mean its bad. You've done a fantastic job with this car and I can't wait to see the next big project
Been a car guy my whole life...own an Evo and have had 5 other DSMs. Always wanted to go to sema, but the hood camera just made me change my mind. Love the eclipse though.
Well no duh people are going to be pumped about this car. I have watched all the build videos. If you don't have some type of reaction, you haven't seen the OG F&F. Such a sick build.
I love the build. I was 18yo working at a movie theater when the FF came out and saw nothing but modified cars thru the front of the theater (Glass) all parked and huge chaos when they all left ha
Me and all my friends had some minor to highly modified cars back in the days. We all parked in the same area in the parking lot when we went to go watch fast and furious, when movie was done the whole parking lot turned into a car show haha. Guess we werent the only car crew out there that night. It was awesome.
People kill me, I would love a 95-99 eclipse Kawasaki green. But people always have to be a downer on everything, and they think because they have internet access at the touch of their fingers, they’re an expert on everything. Good builds guys keep up the work. I had built a 95 neon from the ground up back then, and it was awesome. I actually wish I still owned that car to this day. When I say built I mean every square inch. Motor, body, interior.
I liked everything about that build with one exception.... the rear end bumper section left wide open looks like it's unfinished and more or less was wrecked and just not replaced
I gotta say, that I love the rear wing variant you choose for the Eclipse. It's so much more aggressive and attractive, than the original movie car. Simply perfect. Much love from Germany!
What I’ve noticed over the years with having a cool car that I built or a cool motorcycle that I built is the people talking shit are the people that physically cannot do what we do or just plain do not have the mental capacity. So when I hear judgment I automatically think I’m more creative and smarter than you and the bigger baller because I have the money to put a sweet ass ride together while you’re just judging with empty pockets and no cool car.
If you put your work on display a rational person should be prepared for reactions both positive and negative. If you go through life dismissing critiques with a superiority complex you'll never grow as a person.
@@evilblackcat6357 As that applies to many things in life I personally don't think it applies to car builds as people no matter what car it is always talk down about the car or something on the car, When you build your car how you like it negative comments or remarks are pointless and annoying because people who hate on your car don't know what you went through to build and get the car and don't even drive it so when you get positive remarks it makes you feel good about your build
@@igotnoodlesgold9193 I disagree; I believe it applies to any of one's work they put on display for the general public. If you get a critique you don't like I think the mature reaction is to try and learn from it if there's anything to learn, and if not dismiss it, but not with an air of superiority. By your own logic you could also apply it to positive comments; they could be pointless and annoying because people who love your car don't know what you went through to build it and will never drive it.
@@evilblackcat6357 yeah but i mean when you're building your car there are always going to be negative and positive remarks, you could always choose to ignore the negative ones no need to listen to other people and change your car just because they said so or they said it would look better this or that way. If you like the car the way it is then don't let negative remarks change how you feel about your build because the same people the make the negative remarks aren't even driving it.
Throtl vip squad good morning Evan Mickey Rickie Quinn Rick victor Shawn Will Big Jeff and the rest of the team awesome SEMA footage of the reaction on the modern day fast and furious Mitsubishi Eclipse 🤯😃👍🏽🤙🏽
I love it. This build came up by accident and when I saw it was an Eclipse I just had to follow and see how it all would end. You guys are talented and amazing.
Ja Rule's Voice ** "Everyone happens to know a few thangs, and one of the thangs that we noze iz"..... "it's not how you pay for your build (TJ) it's how you build ya build "
@@Juan_More_Mile again it was a question, it was a catch can not a common thing in all cars. He said he had air ride on his car, the man was just asking questions whether it’s a trade show or not people go there to look and learn
I see a cool air intake. It's got a NOS fogger system and a T4 Turbo, I see an AIC control there. It has direct port nitrous injection.Yeah, and a stand-alone fuel management system. Not a bad way to spend 10,000 dollars.😎😎 Only true fans will get this.
I would rather have an eclipse than a Evo any day , I might even put up with the front wheel drive just to have a better looking car . But the all-wheel drive is the one I'd want .👌
I got distracted for a second and it sounded like that one guy asked if that was the "Rice" system. Then it was pointed out it was a catch can. I lol'd and had to go back and re watch it and he said air ride. Great looking car guys, seriously, Good Job.
If you look up Volo auto sales on here you will see they sold one of the movie cars. With that said these guys just blew that car away. Watching the build video was what really gives insight into the work of art they built. Maybe some people just don't understand the craftsmanship and time it takes to build a car like that.
We honestly need more braver people in the car community that are not afraid of the word RICER and bringing back the wholesome 2000s modification culture, crazy bodykits, big rims, underglow, powerful engine, loud audio
You guys should do the mustang with Sylvia motor AWD and your own version of it from F&F 3 Tokyo drift... That would be killer!🤪🙏✌️😁 Thank u for the thumbs up y'all. Let's get the throtl team to build this, it will be EPIC!!
Mad respect for the build. Lots of work and fun I'm sure... Lot of people got into souping their rides because of F&F Before the movie we had our car clubs in L.A. and took all our souped up rides to the first showing of the movie, 818
At 16:40, when the Eclipse is lowered, the sound is very similar to when the containers are being lowered at the docks in the F&F opening track. I don't know if this was deliberate or not, but I clocked it instantly. Tell me I'm wrong >>> BT - Nitrous (Opening Version).
Let the haters hate. What are they building? They WISH they’d have the honor of building something this well, let alone, having it be on a main set at SEMA. Much love n support to you guys!
"I see a cool air intake, it's got a NOS fogger system and a t4 turbo Dominic. I see an aic controller, it has direct port nitrous injection." "Yeah and a stand alone fuel management system, not a bad way to spend 10 thousand dollars."
Don't even stress about what people got to say just know y'all did a great job that car it one of the coolest keep up the good work and making your dreams become reality
Tbh diffusers always ruin car looks, this car had an amazing rear bumper as is. But idk why they mad lmao, the bumper matches the spoiler, so tbh it’s actually really good for modern type. So good job guys u did an amazing job
a few details are off from the movie, brian had a red top 4g63 as that was the JPN version color of the motor, and you have a diffuser in the rear which the car in the movie has a blitz kit on it and no diffuser, also that wing is far from the movie version
I liked the car back then, but it's body aged so damn fast. It's still an amazing project car though. I'd love to see what you guys do to the new Camry TRD. That would be a cool car to play with.
