People Say This Is The Worst Spider-Man Game 

Only thing that sucked about this game was the Hero/Menace system, if you didn't resolve the crimes, you'd be labelled a menace and get attacked by random enemies throughout the game, really bogged down the free roam aspect

This game had a pretty good web swinging mechanic where it uses both triggers. It should be used more

The game itself wasn’t bad. It’s AFTER you beat the game and always have to keep fighting crime or you’ll be a “bad guy” and they chase you. Can’t even free roam bc it’s so annoying

This game did ALOT right and its a shame they didn't bring it to the new one

I think what really bogged down this game was the Hero/Menace system. It would make traversing the map and completing missions harder if you didn't constantly do heroic acts to raise your 'Hero" meter, as failing or just ignoring side missions raised your 'Menace' meter, so it was a major turn off for me. Another issue that you noticed that you didn't seem bothered by was the "Difficulty", since it lacks that really.

I never hated this game. I always loved that his suit got ripped the more damage you took. It made me feel badass.

For those wondering how to free roam without the hero/menace system, go to Peter's house and replay a mission and just free roam and don't follow the objective, you won't be able to do any of the collectibles, but it is nice to swing around and explore in. What mission you pick determines time of day

I remember playing this on Xbox One as a kid all the time, it was so much fun. The swinging felt great, combat felt good and graphics were fine. The only problems were bugginess with the camera and missions.

The second I saw Peter walking in the street at the start I remember going to my friends house and watching him start this game, It was magical.

This is the first Spiderman game I was bought as a kid and if I allow nostalgia to guide me This is my favorite Spider Man game even though I know it's not the best🤣🤣 And some concepts were just so good Like The Spider Sense locating the danger The combo finishers felt so smooth I love this game😭 and that's just scratching the surface some of the boss fights were so fun the conter attacking when you dodge

This game could have been a gem only if they have not added hero menace thing and good story and better dialogues

I read the famous death of Gwenn Stacy comic in this game. The fact they had a bunch of fully readable comics made this game worth it on its own.

I really like this game. It sure isn't the best but I find it really fun to just swing around the city. I also think the swinging animations are better than Insomniac.

man i used to see gameplay of this game all the time,for me this was a nostalgic video and its one of the most epic sipderman game i've ever seen (in my opinion)

I actually like this game but the only thing I actually hated about it is: in the aftermath of the carnage boss battle, everybody legit attacking you and it's so annoying even if i'm trying to unlock more suits or just tryna have fun swinging.

This game was my childhood spider-man game. I remember turning on my Xbox 360 and playing this game. I only love this game because of the memories of playing this with my little brother. I also thought some of the mechanics in the game were fun, but not the most optimized

I liked the game as a kid, only thing I hated was the hero-menace system.

I played this and ASM 1 way back, and I liked them, 2 just had the Hero or Menace thing that was annoying, any time you completed a side quest it filled the Hero meter, I don't quite remember what filling it did, but any time you either fail or simply ignore a side quest it would fill the menace meter which would make traversal much more hellish with traps placed around the city as well as a bunch of fights that if you got within 20 ft of they would auto trigger and lock you in until you finished them. The final boss being Carnage is cool to me though, we don't see Carnage much outside of comics (or the Symbiotes as a concept for that) these days, I can't remember the last time we saw even Venom in a Spider-Man game, so seeing Carnage who I always liked more is a nice change of pace, both in visuals and actual gameplay because I always thought the Lizard fight at the end of the first game kinda sucked.

One of the games I sometimes see people saying is the worst is Web of Shadows. But honestly, even with all its obvious flaws on both gameplay and story, I loved it. It felt to me like Spider-Man mixed with Infamous and Prototype at the same time, even though it got actually released before both games. I just wish the camera wasn't so bad with the whole lock-on thing.

Actually, the first amazing Spider-Man game was actually good. Like better than it was supposed to be. Way better. However, yeah this one is kind of Doodoo they even took it off of the PlayStation store & since I collect physical copies like Deadpool to play on the PS5, I picked this guy up for like $40 used. Which is insanity. Thank the heavens for credit. Also, the worst Spider-Man suit has to be the alternative symbiote suit when he responds with venom in the comics it’s when the white logo expands way longer than it supposed to, and his eyes are pointing out from his head like lenses.

I played it and I liked it a lot although I played it on a lower difficulty. My favorite thing in the game is the comic store run by Stan Lee. My least favorite spidey suit is the Movie Iron Spider suit. It doesn't look remotely like the original Iron Spider.
