@funktionalitee
@funktionalitee Месяц назад
@lukeyduke8877 lol, troll. Palmer came on and made a decisive pass that cut through the defence and led to the only goal in open play that England scored. Something that Foden, Bellingham, Mainoo and the rest of them couldn't do for 89 minutes. 💀💀💀 England would've had to go to penalties or worse, been out of the tournament if it wasn't for him. Great finish by Watkins too.

I think it's fair to point out that Foden or any of our other 10s/wingers are equally capable of picking that pass, so to praise Cole is fair because he was on the pitch to do it, but some of the praise is a bit over the top considering the pass itself was a relatively easy one to see and to execute. Watkins' movement and finish were world class though, so it's a bit strange to single out Palmer for his role because Watkins still had so much more to do to score. All that said, I think the thing to focus on is that we're absolutely blessed to have players of this quality to come off the bench and I think that's why we have a good chance tonight! 🤞

I think these Euros have shown exactly why Palmer left City. Foden has had a poor tournament until the Netherlands game, but has kept Palmer out of the team. Palmer comes on for Foden, and has a good assist for Watkins' winning goal against the Netherlands.
@kattphatt
@kattphatt Месяц назад
Yeah, Foden missed all those runs in behind that Kane made for him :) c'mon bro. Atleast Palmer had Watkins making runs. Bellingham & Foden have to play with Kane, who does none of that.
@1987simple1987
@1987simple1987 Месяц назад
I hate City and Chelsea in equal measure so no bias from me. However do you really think Foden staying at City has hindered him in anyway??? He is like 24 and has like 5 or 6 league titles and just won the best player in the premier league. Palmer and Foden is not a comparison because Palmer plays on the right and Foden doesn't. The person Palmer is competing with is Bernardo Silva and in my opinion Bernardo Silva is probably the most underrated player in the premier league. Bernardo Silva in my opinion is also City's second most important player behind Rodri the work he does behind the scenes and its proven by how much he plays. I have seen Bernardo Silva play as a left back which is insane. The guys football brain and workrate is off the charts and I think when he leaves people will realise how good he was and how vital he has been. As a Arsenal fan I love Bernardo Silva and if you offered me any two City players it would be Rodri and then Bernardo Silva. Palmer is a great player and has proven it now but he has to play and unfortunately he wasnt going to. The move was a win/win bar City should have got a lot more money as they sold him for almost what Newcastle paid for Lewis Hall.
@MuhammadImHardBruceLee

@1987simple1987 Your 'reply' to my comment has nothing to do with my comment. That said, Palmer does not play on the right for Chelsea... He's the #10... Madueke plays on the right. @1987simple1987
@1987simple1987 Месяц назад
@@MuhammadImHardBruceLee This is nonsense Pakmer played on the right almost all of last season because Chelsea switched to a back 5 and used only 2 midfielders in Enzo and Caicedo and then when Enzo got injured they bought in Gallagher. Go an dlook at Chelsea right wingers Madueke is the only one and he only started 13 games all season. According to sofascore Palmer played 23 games on the right and only 6 as a 10.

@1987simple1987 I watched 35 Chelsea league games last season, and multiple cup games. A starting lineup does not match what happens on the pitch... That said, at no point did Chelsea play with a back five last season. Afyer Enzo's injury, he was replaced in the starting lineup by Madueke... This moved Palmer to starting at #10, Madueke to starting on the right, and Gallagher to starting as a #8 pivot. I refuse to take Chelsea lessons from an Arsenal fan who relies on website data.

He wasn’t going to see much time on pitch in city look what a good season st on he had at Chelsea. A middling team trying to make it way back into top four conversation but they are a ways from that. @blackwidowsm 1. This is emotional thinking, not logical thinking... You actually sound as if you must be a City fan, which is weird as you only have to look to KDB. 2. Chelsea missed out out on the top four due to some horrendous coaching and dropping a lot of points at home against teams in the bottom six. 3. You are absolutely wrong to say that Alvarez, Doku and Grealish have more character... They simply have more opportunity to play. 4. Winning the title race is rarely about one player. That said, players like Grealish has never 'come through' in a title race, he's been carried to winner's medals. 5. Does the following not show character: Leaving your club for opportunity to play, moving cities at a relatively young age, forcing your way into new team, scoring late penalty against former team, 20+ goals and 10+ assists, missing zero penalties, making Euro 2024 squad in first season as a starter (beating Grealish), assist in Euro 2024 semi-final, goal in Euro 2024 final. If that doesn't show the young man's character, then nothing will.
