Spyral player was awful game 3. He could’ve twin twisters his own resort discarding rescue. Rescue eff summon tough tough eff then know top deck for helix.
Twisters discard Fix to blow up scale, then, Fix eff to Summon himself by discarding Rescue, fix adds Big Red, then Rescue/Big Red to Summon Tough, Tough eff reveals top card since it's not a hard Once per turn, then Double Helix Effect, Summon Master Plan, Master Plan adds Mission Assault, Master Plan and Tough makes Proxy Dragon, Plan adds Sleeper and Last Resort, Big Red or the Rescue, the one you didn't use to summon either Master Plan to extend the combo or Tough to clear the board, once You done, Sleeper, activate Assault, activate Last Resort, pop, draw for Assault, then procced to OTK
Pendulum, Fusion, Synchro, XYZ. The four Nations banded together to defeat the SPYral nemesis. 3-1 to Invoked Dragun. I cant see 2014 Shaddolls outing that thing consisntently
I had my doubts about this years cup, but now I've learned that even broken decks can make for interesting gameplay (against the right matchups of course).

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why MR5 decks are in the cross ban list cup when they haven't been played at a single tournament yet? No chance to fine tune them, figure out their side decks etc.
Wow, Pepe really showed that spyral is mortal. Great duels! Invoked Dragun 3-1. Other than superpoly, dolls don't have a great way to get rid of dragun, and Aleister and red eyes fusion can deal with winda
I mean, to be fair to spyrals, it's almost impossible to beat a deck that has shock master, azathot, lavalval chain, monkeyboard, plushfire, maxx c, etc. These are some of the most broken cards ever made put into one deck

Hmm, I didn't expect PePe to win this one but as you pointed out, something I forgot about this list, they did have powerful handtraps, 3x Maxx C is pretty strong if you are also playing stuff like Veiler and Ogre. However, this exception in the old vs new decks merely seems to confirm the rule that powercreep wins at the end of the day. Invoked Dragun is probably gonna illustrate this better, unless I'm forgetting something and the 2020 deck has trouble getting past a Winda, I think Shaddols are going down with a 3-0 next one.
Damn that was the best match so far in this tournament 👍 3 2 for Invoked Dragun. I dont think this matchup is easy for them since Winda & Superpoly are huge threats for Dragun Invoked. So I dont expect that this matchup would be straight up onesided like Zoo vs Dark Matter was. But in general Dragun Invoked is the better one of this decks, so Dragun should make it
Well. 95 turbo is the weakest deck of the tournament to be honest. While Rejuvi ruler won't have won the match atleast he could have 1 round, having something that negate(ht)
so how is it ok for PePe, perhaps the strongest deck ever, to play with their strongest ever list, but spyrals have to play with drone and quik fix to 1?
@@rionoftheburningabyss570 not really because the 1st pendel deck was a Vanilla Stun deck (was not that good) followed by Igknight, which was kinda great before the ruling of Master Key Beetle & Igknight changed Pepe came after those
Maxx C is such a powerful card. Pepe putting in a lot of work. 3-1 Dragun because 2014 dolls probably don't have the tools to beat one of the best bosses in the game consistently.
Gamma is sometimes your second life or your step to the grave, SPYRALs should've had a better list imo, even so great match. Invoked 3-1, sorry Shaddolls but Dragun *IT'S JUST A RIDICULOUS* card to go against.
Well Pepe wasn't full power either also older deck and it has its scales blocking backrow space which wasn't a thing in mr3 if anything Pepe used it's weakest list against a newer deck
The Night Stalker man stop it. It used an ocg list with shock master, maxx c and harpies feather. Niggas just say anything. That Spyral list was TRASH and the outcome would have been a sweep if it was the broken Spyral with 3 quik and dupe

after testing out the deck, i come to the conclusion that pepe could be fair. it could be played in master rule 5, therefore reducing its explosiveness by summoning a bunch from the extra deck, the only card i feel should be banned is shock master, if played now, pepe would most likely resort to scythe play. the fact that it could search a bunch i feel like is reminiscent to how pendulum magician and fluffals are
If there cards were legal today we'd probably have a broken pend goodstuff deck, with beyond the pendulum coming out that's the biggest hand trap target for any pendulum deck and wavering eyes into plushfire+double iris or even one of them would be insanely valuable as it would allow you do easily make beyond without pendulum summoning, or in the case of plushfire without even normal summoning The extra would just consist of stuff like dpe, savage, baronne, apo and all the other generic options you normally go into So while pepe itself might be a bit more fair without the power extra deck cards having these cards be mixed with other archetypes would probably push pend back into the meta again
@@andrejv.2834 im not arguing but feels like summoning without normal summon is pretty easy as is, like with darkwurm, or with draco, iris and chronograph in hand. speaking of destruction benefit, having draco, iris, star pend, chronograph in hand could give you like 4 extra cards and an extra body. They do however have to have all those resource in hand so i feel like its a fair trade, not to mention prone to ash. With old pend magi pre chrono, iris, joker release they do always resort to apo, savage, vortex generic stuff anyway so i feel like nothing would change. If they carry brave, dpe, scythe package then all the more bricks they carry, but then again you could hand trap those, or side in counters against them. What do you think?
@@gentarafi7005 we also have astrograph now which makes it even more powerful, counters exist for every card but that doesn't mean they're all fair, and the thing about having all these search cards means pepe or some today's variant of the deck could also run hand traps or other generic cards, which is something pendulum decks can't normally do This with the ability to ignore mr5 and rebuild every turn because almost every card searches, draws or in plushfire's case, summons a monster from the deck, with said monster then giving you more advantage later, would probably make pepe one of the best decks even without shock master or azathoth, probably wouldn't be tier 0 but would still be an extremely powerful deck, and konami doesn't usually risk it with bringing cards back

I wish that you had used zoodiacs with elder entity norden and full power spyrals as well. PePe with maxx c, shock master, azathot, lavalval chain, monkeyboard, plushfire, and skullcrobat joker is insane. These are some of the most broken cards of all time in one deck. this was truly a fun match up to watch how two Tier 0 decks would face each other and this was a very close one. The next match up, Dragun's power level proves its far more stronger than Winda, but the Shadolls are running Shock Lock, so going first is the major factor for this battle.
This is neither the Tier 0 nor the Tier 1 decklist though. That list is only good in the Spyral mirror match after the first Banlist. Lithium should at least change the name to "going-second Spyrals" so everyone knows its not the real best list.
can someone explain to me why PePe was so good? I never played during that time, and feels like its getting carried by pendulum summoning instead of being a deck. Kinda like a lazy Salamangreat
Well part of why it was so good was because of the pendulum mechanic. In the Tcg they would consistently make a first turn Cyber Infinity+Naturia Beast+Raflaesa+Solemn Strikes that were searched through Ariadne.
Still think you should’ve gone full power Spyral w/ Quik-Dupe and triple Drones. Even then, don’t think it’s saving them from an Ignister. Invoked Dragun 3-0. I don’t know what shaddoll is supposed to do lmao
Musiye Von Chilla To get shock master out, didn’t it have to open Stick Chair, and not get veilered? The odds of getting stick chair and being able to put out a winda turn 1 seems inconsistent even without needing to worry about Ash, Veiler, and Imperm, all which Dragun is running.
Lithium how do you get that master rule card which lets mr3 and mr4 happen one on one side and the other in the other side can you make a video on how you get that ?
I really hate Spyral and love PePe but I thought they would win because of Ash Blossom. So glad Spyral dropped it's first three points. For the next match-up I feel Dragun is way too strong for Shaddoll to deal with... 3-1 or maybe 3-2 if Shaddoll gets lucky.
While I absolutely believe this list is more powerful, I'd personally have rather seen a TCG list with the Rafflesia, Infinity, and Strike/Scolding set. Honestly expected outcome since this Spyrals list isn't on the level of the Tier 0 decks like PePe and Zoo.
I'm taking Invoked Dragun 3-1 because Dragun is just too strong and I'm not sure that Construct can out him once he is on the field, especially when he can just negate the Shaddoll fusion and still have a Mechaba waiting to negate something else. Shaddolls only hope is Super Poly and maybe a first turn Winda.
@@Lightgod87 the decks are different enough though that it would really help to distinguish; there isn't even an "ocg" tag in the title ocg didn't rock ariadne and infinity, tcg didn't rock shock master and azathot; engines were same, win cons were evaluated a little differently and decks were built differently in accordance. I still dont understand who thought pepe was ok in konami. I used to hate the pendulum mechanic as a whole but now i realize its not the mechanic but the broken cards that made me hate it. Im thinking invoked dragun takes the win 8/10
decks that existed b4 ash and called by the grave should be maining 3x prohibition . you as a pro player using pepe knowing that ash could be an auto lose but your only defense turn 1 is prohibition coz you cant use called by grave etc .
Yea I suspected this. Two incredibly powerful decks but the more powerful deck won. Ima say 3-0 in favor of Dragun, maybe 3-1 if Shaddolls are lucky. Shaddolls from that time tended to lose hard against Towers Turbo, imagine Shaddolls against the Towers on steroids that is Dragun
Dragun is far too strong for 2014 Shaddolls. The only way for them to win is to go first, there's just no other options. if Dragun ever hits the field, it's gg.
Game 5, Spyral player could've evenly matched and twin twisted destroying the evenly while also discard assault so he's got set up. Also gets rid of the shock master sooner as well. Which point you can one for one to get quik fix (no effect sadly) discard agent, then foolish burial for rescue. Then next turn you simply rescue back agent then bring back quik fix vis his own effect, search drone then you've got a full play with no shock master to worry about

He basically took a full power (or atleast near fulll power) PePe list and put it up against going 2nd Spyrals. Thats a list spyrals shouldnt win with anyways, but nontheless it was very close regardless.
