Pepes Tow and Plaza Tow rotators work together! I received a call from a customer who couldn't find any tower willing to tackle this job on a Saturday, and decided to help despite being hours away. The description and subsequent pictures made it seem really bad, and I was told it went off the freeway, over a fence, busted the oil pan and down an embankment. The worst part is it was a Prevost bus! These suckers are very very heavy and extra delicate because of how low they are and expensive they are.
I knew I was bringing Castro with me in our newer heavy wrecker to tow the unit away, and thought about using our two trucks for this job. While on the way, I had an idea! Since I'll be passing through Coachella, why not call Trent over at Plaza Tow and ask if he can send his rotator? Two rotators allow for less re-rigging since our booms can rotator and I know they have a lot of experience with these areas.
The plan was set, and Darl from Plaza showed up in their 50ton rotator. The job was easier in some ways than I thought, while also being harder. Darl gave some great tips and together, we got this bus out and onto Castro's tow truck ready to go back towards LA in no time.
