So, I made it, lady. It was nice although I used cherry tomatoes as I did not have tomato paste of any sort which I only realized when I checked the cans I bought and they were tomatoes chopped or whole, I don't remember. I used no sugar either, I hate hot food, so I used my Hungarian sweet paprika, I did not have red onions only 'yellow' ones, and it was fine. I loved it. I am going to include it into the list of meals I eat.

I love dishes like this. I offer the suggestion that in situations where some tomato paste is a good idea, then Turkish "hot pepper paste" (it isn't hot) also works great in addition. Both together add color and richness in slightly different ways. And like tomato paste, if used just a spoon or so at a time, it does not overwhelm with flavor.
