Let me get this straight? Pepsi-Man was a mascot in Japan for PEPSI. That had a game that was made for the PlayStation in Japan. Has Japanese subtitles over English dialogue despite only being marketed and sold in Japan. Has no Japanese audio whatsoever, again despite being Japanese in addition to the menus being in English and stars some casual, plump guy sporting a baseball cap that is American? This game was simply made for the internet!

Holy shit, this was hilarious xD It's not just the game itself, either; it's that a game developed purely for advertising purposes is actually not half bad. If I knew nothing about either Pepsiman or Superman 64, and you gave me the option to play one out of the two just based on what they were called, I'd pick Superman, thinking the ad-game would suck simply cos it's an ad-game. And I would have been dead wrong.

i just want to say that thanks to this stream i remember this game was a thing, told one of my fav youtuber about it as a joke and he actually played it and now im a meme within his fanbase because i have brought the horror of pepsi man

Pepsi Man truly is the world's greatest superhero. He runs through people's houses, breaks Jon's fingernails, and battles even Pepsi itself to save the world by bringing Pepsi to thirsty people stranded in the desert. He may not be the hero we need, especially by further dehydrating said stranded people, but he truly is the hero we deserve. It's a shame this only came out in Japan. This game would be a lot of fun to play. Way more fun than Temple Run, for sure. I hate Temple Run. Sonic Dash is the way to go. I actually came to the stream just after this game ended, just in time for Bomberman Act Zero. I should've come in earlier, seeing this live would've been hilarious. PEPSI FOR PIZZA

Fun Fact! Pepsiman was unlockable as a secret character in the Japanese Saturn version of Fighting Vipers. Also, I heard a rumor of a second mascot called "Diet Pepsiwoman", but I dunno if it's true, or if it was just a joke. Also, there is a semi-official "Pepsi Convoy" character in the transformers universe said to be created from the same metal as Pepsiman.

That part towards the beginning with Pepsi Man on the board looks eerily similar to the first part of City Escape in SA2. I'm assuming that's a giant ass coincidence, because this game couldn't have ripped off SA2 because it obviously came before, and I kinda doubt Sega would rip off such an obscure game.

Hard to believe I watched this live 6 years ago. Really making me feel like a degenerate since I’m doing the same things at 20 I did at 14.

I love coming back to watch this every couple years because Jon's comentary and reactions are funny, and it's cool to see how Jon evolves and adapts and gets better at the game... relatively. I'ts just fun to see. I'd love to see him revisit this game and try to get the max amount of pepsi cans per level and beat "Par Time" for each level. In the same run.
