@Dinosorable Not the 15 year inspection, she's undergoing a full rebuild (and inspection :-D). The 1225 is old and parts wear out so in order to keep the big engine in operation, they have to do some maintenance.

@jrahrig I heard that the Polar Express is having boiler problems. And she's in for a 15 year inspection. :(

@SantaFe158 She shouldn't be, unless they have a really hard time getting funding and having volunteers work on it. 15 years is the time between rebuilds. Once she's rebuilt she can go another 15 years before she needs to be torn down and inspected/overhauled again. I think SRI is shooting to have her back in steam by 2013 (I think I read that somewhere anyway.
