Other chess youtubers does not have this understanding of chess, they simply plug a game in an engine and analyze based on that. There are more human explanations in Daniel’s channel. I’ve been following his channel for quite some time now

That game was reminiscent of Fischer at his best. I bet Giri was impressed.

I can't imagine Giri was impressed (he is capable of playing such squeezes himself) just very annoyed that he allowed himself to be pressed into such a passive position.

I don't even play chess, but I've been watching your videos for months now. I always thought of the game as very passive and boring, but you completely changed my view. Still don't know if it's a game for me, but I really enjoy watching the strategies play out and solving the occasional puzzle. Cheers!

Chess changed my life, you should take it up. It is an amazing game with a rich history, I picked it up when I was twenty and I haven't looked back (now 47). Sometime I wish I could go back to those magical early days when I was learning the game, it was like I opened a gate to a wonderland. Check out Queen's Gambit if you want some additional motivation.

I don’t play and I’ve been following this channel for almost a decade 😂😂😂. Gm king is the only one who can tell the human story behind the matches. So many RU-vidrs say the position is lost because of the engine, but in real life people don’t know that. I still watch others, but gm king is by far the best.

GM King should review some of his games. What a chess talent that has somewhat been forgotten during the passage of time. Pillsbury is another one, like Rubenstein, that should have been WC.
@garudapurachess
@garudapurachess 5 месяцев назад
@@TandemKnights Yeah agreed, that would be very instructive. It’s because he wasn’t WC and also Capablanca is renowned for his technique so Rubinstein was kind of forgotten sadly.

Exceptional game and wonderfully explained , Daniel. Your chess videos are like classical music for the soul , as compared to some of the discordant autotune and synthetic notes of those relying solely on machines without the warmth and expression that comes from having years of experience looking into positions and communicating them with lucidity!

20:20 - I watched a video from Maurice Ashley showing how important knights can be in end games and how the cheeky check can buy just enough time to rush back to the party which is why I knew the answer to this! beautiful from Nodirbek! Definitely been doing his endgame manual homework! Seeing him, Pragg, Gukesh, Keymer etc fly up the rankings is so great to see!

Great game. When Nodirbek wins, the games are so often impressive. I really think he's going to be top 3 in the world soon. For years he's been showing that upper world class strategic understanding and at such a young age.

@PowerPlayChess GM King, you really are the best chess analyst out there! Thank you for your excellent break-downs, I can only imagine the hard work that goes into this type of operation. Also, amazing game by Nodirbek, especially the endgame. I was watching this one live and I was like, what in the heck is going on??? When you compare Nodirbek to some of the other young players out there that were raised by the computer and have the 'concrete' playing style (no such thing as ugly moves if they work), does he have more of a traditional approach to chess, in your opinion? He seems like a very well-rounded player, able to attack, defend or squeeze, whatever is necessary in the position. I also like his personality and when I watch him over live-stream during the game, he seems to occasionally have that "Tal stare" at his opponents, maybe he has a bit of a mischievous streak as well?

I play a lot of blitz chess. My thoughts after black playing h6 were to put the rook on g1, route the knight from f3 via e4 to f5 and push the g-pawn to rip open that file. Interesting to see how Abdusattorov used a completely different stategy and centralized instead!
