I remember making sure to blow the helicopter away even if I perfectly sneaked to the end, mainly in the "perfect agent'' difficulty just to prove something to my ego.
This game had so much detail and nuance, it was so ahead of its time. I have many favorite shooters, Halo, Half-Life, Timesplitters, etc. but this'll always be my pinnacle of FPS design. They did so many things and wanted to do so much more but the N64 held it back. I'm curious if we had this exact dev team now, what type of game they could make.
@@Sirkillsalot22X you can shoot lights in perfect dark and they'll get destroyed making the areas they lit, darker. This is a detail I haven't seen since.
@@shivablaster4825 yeah... But those are games from the 2000's, sadly. Though I'm not sure if the feature is in effect in the last splinter cell game from 2013.
This is probly my favorite song from this game, especially when it kicks into high gear. i remember how fun this level was, not to mention the whole game. but ya this game is so advanced for a N64 game. i mean u can add up to 8 sims on multiplayer give them all diferent personalities and even change how they look. Most shooters that come out today dont even have that. Look at Halo 3 for example.. its a really great game but u cant even add computers if u wanna play some multiplayer by yourself.
+Mike Ever :( wow man ... well Conker is Now very expensive but an N64 and PD is not that much. Otherwise for conker there is N64 emulation. If you own a Xbox One I heard Rare got out Rare replay , which everything is on there.
The Colonel That makes me remember in Carrington Villa, there were that foe, I aimed at him after picking up his gun and he raised his hand, like "I give up". I chose to spare him after that
Remember paying this mission in agent and it was kinda hard the first time, then lets try in secret agent and see what's up. Reaching the upper floors freaking gunship out of nowhere appears outside the windows: "stay where you are!" holy sh*t!!! Master piece in every aspect of it.
The first opening notes of this song are the best on any Combat Simulator match when it starts out with the camera revolving around your character. The only exception is if it's a slo-mo match.
The first opening notes of this track make for the best starter in a Multiplayer match, it fits in perfectly with the cameras spinning around your character before it starts, unless the match is in slo-mo. :p
Joanna infiltrated the rooftop, descended thru the tower into the labs underground, and still ascended to the roof for extraction with the package! This theme really captured all of that!
They was in the studio killing it for Perfect Dark and the Goldeneye soundtracks 🔥🔥🔥. Hopefully we eventually get these 2 and Mission Impossible as well with Switch Online
best song in the game- i love when the lights go out and you are using your night vision with the CMP150 secondary target tracking mode to get headshots on those guys hiding behind things
Damn, I was still on the Sega in 2000. I was 10 at the time. Don't think I had a N64 till I was 12 so I think I played it for the first time then. Had so many good games but Perfect Dark pwned them all. Goldeneye was awesome too but had nothing on PD. Then, when they released PD for the Xbox Live Arcade...NOSTALGICA CITY!
@AnthroWisdom i was playing this from 2000 well untill 08on the n64 and then the hd remake came out in 10 and i play a shit ton of that with my lil bro and cousins.
I rented Perfect Dark Zero and thought it was a pretty solid game. Obviously not as groundbreaking as the original but the Co-Op and whatnot were rather enjoyable.
This is such a good level... Trying to escape from the airplane and then blowing it up from inside the building... Ohhh... man... All I wish for is Perfect Dark gameplay with PD0 graphics...
While 98% would escape the villain's tower on the ground level, she just goes back all the way up. No need to escalate and expose on a street blockade. So when people talk about it, its just perfect dark. How cool is that? This is what a female Batman looks like.
First sight, I was like, what the hell and then it opens fire. But however I really like aircraft and busting them out. So I get my trusty Rocket Launcher out, and I was like, "fly my minion, I will tear you HoverCopter out of the flaming sky like an apple ripe from an orchard!!
