Good god, it's been 20 years and I can't believe I never knew there was an uncompressed version of this song out there or how fantastic it sounds, I was half expecting an uncompressed "Good night miss Dark" at the end there though.
This isn't an uncompressed version of the track from the game. It's a complete re-recording with "live" instruments. Most obvious is the added lead break at the end and the fact the song actually finishes, as opposed to loop indefinitely as in the game.
9 years later and RU-vid recommendeds this - far too late but better than never. Thanks uploader if you can see this - this is a great contribution. Perfect Dark is forever.
No it didn't, and no it didn't. It was a release title with perhaps a bit worse-than-usual typical release title problems, but honestly if you go back and play it now, it hasn't even aged that poorly

I am here because of that bomb Microsoft dropped. If they go back to what Perfect Dark was and not Perfect Dark Zero, then Microsoft, at least for me, is among the best developers by now. You can't get a better deal than Gamepass. Microsoft by now is more for the gamers as anyone else ever was. Hell even their console is more backwards compatible with PS games as Sony's PS5 itself.
Who else thinks the sequence at 1:23 is a tribute to the original Fire Field Theme (Snes)? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ejAEx_kWmko.html
