These Bluetti systems are interesting power options, but for over $4,000🇨🇦 I can build myself one heck of a solar system. My personal opinion is that these systems need to come way down in price before they become a more common option. I’d love a solar option right now, but I can put an awful lot of gas in my 11,500 watt generator (that I paid $1,000🇨🇦 for new), for what I’d pay for one of these systems. The base unit and the expansion pack are still about half the size of my generator.

I’ve had the Bluetti AC200p for a year now and I love it, only thing I wish I had was the expandability the ac200max has , using it for short power outages and the beach had been fantastic,

The Bluetti AC 300 w/B300 IMO is a much better system, a little heavier & about $1,000 more w/discounts I paid $2,450.. It handles my 16,000 BTU A/C & many other things at the same time! Just my 2cents.. Good video!

How long are you able to run your a/c off 1 of the b300 batteries?
@nickd5591
@nickd5591 26 дней назад
@@wallheadkdir I have multiple b300 batteries & 1600 watts of solar panels connected to the AC300, so it would last more than 24hrs.. (1) B300 batt powering 16,000 BTU of a/c "may" last around 2hrs, with no solar connected.

That’s a cool product. You can use it anywhere and for anything and not just for RV’s.

A few things to keep in mind about plug and play units of this size: Bluetti and Ecoflow are currently the largest in players in this range. The AC200 Max is about a year old and still holding its own. Bluetti also makes plug and play systems that can output much more and much less. The EcoFlow Delta 2 Max fills a similar niche and falls in the middle of their range. The great thing about these units is that they are remarkably portable for the power they provide with each head unit and support battery weighing between 40-80lbs. Easy to move? Not for me. Capable of being moved? Absolutely - even by me. While the Bluetti didn’t work out for me, I’m currently using the EcoFlow counterpart right now, in a tent. They are both great at handling appliances rated at 2kW (4kW surge). This covers the vast majority of household appliances. At home, my sogen supplements the horrible wiring in my apartment and has already enabled me to weather a 20-hour outage. If you have the expertise, you can create your own systems tailored to your needs, but these are great as mid-level plug and play solutions.

I did get it to start the 15kbtu AC on my camper. It didn't like the start phase but when running was pulling 1.4kW. I turned on a box fan on low and the next time the compressor kicked on it stalled like yours and gave me a low voltage. At 2,200watts that 30Amp plug is really limited and should be considered a 20Amp plug. I do like that it has that and will just plan to use fans when I don't have hookup. Only tested around the house, but am excited to try it on the road soon.

I wonder if your cargo trail AC had a soft start on it, would the Bluetti be able run it.

Interesting review. I think it would work fine with my RV air conditioner, as it can run off a 15 amp outlet. For the one in your trailer I think you would need a 3000 watt inverter, plus several LiFePO4 batteries.

BTBRV with the AC200max plus 2 of the expansion batteries you can have a maximum total of 2400watts of solar input ***IF YOU USE 3*** of the DC Charging Enhancers (900w+500w for AC200max, 500w for battery 2, 500w for battery 3). The DC Charging Enhancer converts the solar (PV) power into AC and it uses the AC charging port on the AC200max and the expansion batteries. Bluetti largest "portable" solar panel is a 400W so that would limit you to a maximum total of 2000w but that would allow for some small RV's to run completely on Solar during the day while keeping the batteries topped off..... and yes I own several Bluetti products. Hope this helps. They also make the AC300 and the AC500 that can be considered portable power stations with 30A plugs (AC500 requires 2 of the inverter units to run the full 50A port).

What up Doe!? Bluetti solar power stations are very good products and they are improving constantly. I think it would run your 15k AC unit or any RV ac if you installed a Micro-Air Easystart 364-X36? Great vid 👍🏻

What's cool about ecoflow, is they have a generator that will charge the battery, and automatically turn off when the battery bank is full. But it's more efficient charging the battery and drawing that power, than just drawing small amounts of power from a generator.

How would you use the Bluetti AC200 max and hardwire into an RV such as a Geo Pro that already comes with solar? I would rather use the Bluetti instead of having to upgrade the RV charge controller, inverter and solar panels. Bluetti sells a 12V RV cable but I'm not sure how to hook it up.

JD, once again a great video. I noticed when you hooked up your cargo trailer you said at the end of that one cord was a 20 amp output. Could that have been the problem why your AC did not kick on the cooling compressor ? The reason why I asked that question is I had a 3200 amp generator by champion and I could run my 15,000 BTU AC in my trailer off the generator. So in effect those two battery packs should’ve allowed the AC to cool as well as the fridge and lights. . I’m just wondering if the 20 amp attachment you had at the end of the cord coming out of the batteries was your problem.

I'm considering buying an enclosed cargo trailer to convert to a long-term, possibly full-time nomad home on wheels. I'm still undecided whether to go with this type of power supply or a custom li4po battery(ies) with charge controller, wiring, and whatever other bits needed. The 2nd option seems daunting. This seems so much more straightforward and so much less likely to end up with catastrophic results 🔥🔥🔥

The information screen on the large power station is extremely hard to see even if you shade it with your hand. Can the screen be made brighter? The weight of the units when used by themselves or combined is more than most people can pick up and move easily. A small, wheeled cart would be a nice option. Where do you recommend a person can buy one of these units? I am in California and can't seem to find one. Thanks for the review.

Two things I see that can be approved first the second battery should lock on for travel and second why does the cord have to be so big and stiff and do you you think a soft start would help with the air conditioner

The question I have is: if you put the charger on and could the unit give out more by using the charger?

I'm a subscriber in TX. I just want all your followers to know that Bluetti has no technical support. You can only deal with tech issues via email, typically with personnel in China. It is very cumbersome. So far, I've not been able to solve my problem and I greatly regret my purchase. Possibly worse is they appear to have dedicated personnel to scrub any negative reviews, comments or problems that show up online. Very sinister to me. As this is a hugely popular, and well-known company, I've been caught off guard by how successfully they have prevented criticism. I won't spend another dime on their products.

Ok so can’t turn on AC (12:20). Got it. Just a big expensive battery with really cool handles and really cool on-buttons and really cool outlet covers etc., that’s largely worthless. Next.

I just bought mine, the AC200 max by itself and it couldn't turn on my 13000 AC. Very disappointed. It runs everything in my 25 foot trailer but the battery drained down to empty in less than an hour. I think I've got a lemon.

I will be testing a product that will likely fix this problem with your AC200max. Mine could not turn on a 13k AC either when it's really hot outside.
