@@ryantaylor4196 not necessarily. Some deathcore bands prefer even 24.75'' scale for such low tunings because it allows for crazy harmonics. Not sure how exactly it works, but that's what they say
Or spend the money or time to properly set it up for that tuning. Because that's low as fuck. and I wish I had the patience to setup a guitar properly 😔
@@adeptusmechanicus1029 lol no need to just tune it an octave above and break out whatever pitch shifter of your choice and drop that shit down problem solved
I can use Standard G Flat or F Sharp 8 string guitar 7 string bass, but I have to play the same notes as Drop G Flat or F Sharp 7 string guitar 5 string bass.
Can u tune a six string guitar to this and miss the top string? Or no?? Silly question to some, but I'm dropping my top e from standard to f# and obviously its loose and when it reverberates it sounds off, bit it even sounds off for loose.. I mean wtf am I doing wrong lol except not having a 7 string 🤣 it's a jackson js32 with floyd rose so it cant sound that wierd it's not a kids school encore or some non metal stuff I'm using.... ???? Ideas please? from The frustrated rookie. Ps I've dropped to a c#g#c#f#a#d# and it manages fine but this I'm getting some fantastic messy cruddy sounds lol
I'd say for a tuning this low you should get a baritone guitar. You could try getting a .68 - .14 string set for your current guitar and tuning it that low but I don't know if that'd work that well. I own a Chapman ML1 28" Baritone and it handles Drop F# to Drop E just fine.
@@KerimLuca okay... a baritone guitar? I apologise as I've never heard of a baritone guitar ive heard the phrase baritone but not together. I really need to be more on form cause I'm learning how to do this after six years of dormancy. Are yoy on facebook or insta?
@@rachelsaphirecorrelli8678 a baritone guitar is a six string made specifically for playing super low notes, and you can get thich heavy gauge strings for them. they have a longer scale length so theres a lot less chance of muddiness in your tone, and much better tuning stability. for around the same priceyou could also get a seven or 8 string guitar, both of which would have the same benefits, but the added bonus of the same high range as a standard six string! whichever you would prefer, i personally like more strings but totally get the appeal of baritone guitars!
@@endconnr i personally tune all the way down to a super low f#, but i use that for super low metal stuff a lot, mess with your eq and stuff and make sure you use heavy gauge strings!
