One day, I’ll slowly dance to this type of music with my husband. Update Few weeks later at 21 i found my first boyfriend, we have been together for 2 years. another update 3/11/23 still with him 3 years, very happy.
Beleive it or not alot of people like this music. It may not be as popular as it once was but people still do like this stuff. Example: go through some high school/college student study playlist
Being a 40 year old woman who (along with her very lovely husband) living room-dances to this music and has a special place in our hearts for it, seeing there are "young people" (UGH-- I HATE using this term) who still appreciate it makes me hopeful for love and romance.❤️❤️
I'm married to the sweetest 95 year old woman who is struggling with the challenges that come with old age. I help her with her baths and shampoo her hair and this is the music I put on for her while we do this. I just want you to know what a blessing these songs have been to us. She is suffering from memory loss, but she loves singing along word-for-word with these songs. And on days like today, when she woke up in tears dreading the struggles that the day would bring, she was singing along after about the sixth song and even laughing again. What a lift!!!!! This set of songs is an amazing therapeutic tool for us!!!!! Thank you so very much. May God richly bless you!!!!
I love to play this playlist in the summer, sitting in my garden drinking a glass of wine. My darling elderly neighbors complimented me on my musical taste, and told me they greatly enjoy when I play it. Now I'm going on a quest to find a fysical album for them to play ( they are to old to understand RU-vid/internet) thank you for uploading, also from my neighbors :)
HI Frankie, You can buy those lovely neighbours this Perfect Love Songs CD from Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B00005B4DA?ref=myi_title_dp Many thanks to you all for listening :-)
Im 35 and have two kids and I play this mix for them every weekend. We clean to it. And I pick them up randomly and dance around with them. Such sweet feelings this music brings. Like it makes me miss something I never had. But love it anyway.
Have dinner at home put this music on, light some candles, slow dance, just like couple's did back in the day. Now you have all makings of a romantic evening. Something's never change.
I was born in the 1981 and my parents adopted me and were born in the early 30s and I grew up listening to this beautiful music!! I’m an old soul for sure and no one my age could understand why I did listen to this music. I didn’t care because it brought peace to my little heart full of love.
As a younger person, I can tell you that this music brings back an uncomprehendible and uncompairble amount of joy and reminds me of movies such as, seven brides for seven brothers, thomasina, and of course the one and only, The sound of music :) my grandfather raised me right.
@Snow Flakesx I know, right? I know some people who keep posting things like "I look fine, but I'm broken inside". I'm getting real tired of it since they are living lives that seem great, at least to me. If anything, I think I'm the one who has the right to be depressed compared to them. Anyways, if you really have depression why the hell would you joke about it?
@@obscure884 it's not a joke, it's a sense for someone else to relate to and stop thinking as if they're the only one going through life like that. If you see people laughing, it's humor to a coincidence, much better to laugh at it than cry at it.
@@sugadadie9322 My comment was based on experience. I know people who are intentionally faking depression and are taking it lightly. I know that some are only joking about it to feel better, but the people I met are not depressed whatsoever. They confirmed it themselves. They said that they did it to "fit in".
@@obscure884 sucks to be them, why would anyone want to be depress tho it's not a trend if they're the bright ones they should light up the place to lift up the mood. Okay i get what you mean. They're stupid, but who can blame them they want to "fit in"
i'm 86 and the music reminds me of a gentler time even though it was during ww2 . People then had little but we were happier somehow .the memories come flooding back, both good and bad and i thank the persons who let me hear this again.
Hi Geo! Please always share your treasury of memories, people today need your era's wisdom. I'm glad the music can bring back happy memories, even if times were hard. That's why I like this music too. Thank you!
@@LL-qh6gf Wisdom doesn't come with age, but experience. Don't be naiive. Every generation learns on their own inspired by the heroes from the generation before them.
@@geowallace9758 glad to see you still around, I hope you have many healthy years to come in good health. God bless you! Music keeps the soul strong and healthy.
POV: I's 1942. You're sitting out on the porch, in a red rocking chair next to the radio watching your little one play in the yard. This is what's playing on the radio, and you're thinking to yourself how grateful you are to have what you have. You watch your 2 year old daughter run around in the yard, in her little yellow dress, picking flowers to put in a cup of water. Your husband comes home from work, and walks up the wooden, rickety steps leading up to the porch. He leans over and kisses you on the forehead. It's getting dark now, so you bring your little one inside. You walk into the kitchen to start dinner. while you're putting vegetables in a pot on the stove, and your husband grabs your hand, and turns you around, and you dance to the radio for a while until dinner is done cooking.
Some imbecile would say that is a kind of chauvinism, people need to say that lots of people want to live like this, and should be amazing just forget the world and stay with your loved.
wow. I felt the same way... but I felt more like it's my boyfriend who is very young (we would both be young) and me trying to convince him not to leave but crying and saying if he goes I'm going with :) but :(
49jubilee The age of crooners is unfortunately dead. Gone are the days when singers had to have absolute mastery over their instrument, now singers do nothing but take turns screaming at each other.
@@TheHouseontheHill Chloe Moriondo, Mxmtoon, Chevy, Cavetown and many others actually talented singers that you probably don't know about. Please don't put every single singer under one stereotype. The fact that you did not find any good singers does not mean they don't exist.
omg im 13 aswell and i love this music, i really want a record player and all of thse n record, and im actually so annoyed at every smack head who listens to lil pump and six nine ughhhhhh
bitch lasagne you’re being rude lmao. it’s their favorite genre and by having a favorite genre like rap or pop doesn’t affect anyone or anything. let them enjoy their favorite music, jeez.
Everyone in the comment section: * wants to dance with a partner in the kitchen for these tunes * Me wondering: Am I the only one who wants to sit next to a tinted window in a vintage coffee shop that plays these songs, sipping coffee, and watching the faint raindrops fall to the ground?
My dad served in the millitary in the 1940's and I remember in the seventies talking to him about that period. It was so enlightening. It gave you hope of a better time. He's gone now and I miss him so much.
I really love vintage songs. I feel relaxed . I feel like I'm living in a very happy place , watering plants while drinking coffee and singing for my plants. How I wish I could live in this era.
I wonder why I feel emotional when I listen to this. Maybe because I was born in the 90’s and grew up watching the 60’s cartoons like Tom n Jerry. And all about my childhood touch my heart hahahaahahah
This was the only playlist I could find that had the style of music I was looking for. Most other playlists had cheesy 70s music that stung my ears. This beautiful music is soft, lovely, and pleasing to hear. Thank you for creating this. I look forward to listening dozens of times and more.
Not all 1970's songs are THAT cheesy. If you like this kind of music, you don't have to bring down songs made in other eras, my grandparents loved those songs.
Worst Username In the World A lot of them were super cheesy, but that's probably how a lot of people in the 70s viewed songs from the 40s. I think we just romanticize the 40s because their lives pretty much sucked by comparison to a lot of the decades that followed.
@Gabby Thomas-16 that`s because your brain recognizes 1 of your past lives - in this case the one where you lived during the era where this kind of music was an everyday thing
Now I want this music genre too come back and there’s no saying it can’t but…. Are generation has changed humans have evolved and this music has fallen too from new peoples taste but it’s always a joy to go back and hear these songs from back then
I've always felt I was an old soul. I would watch and still watch on TCM old classics. Makes me feel warm inside and kind people everything was so simpler then. I have still a crush on Cary can't William powel and one special on my sexy Clark gable 😘😘lol I wasn't even born now 55 oh how I wish I can click my ruby shoes and repeat I wish I were home because that's how I feel when I watch the classics
Lately, i find these kind of music comforting and relaxing. Wish i was born in this era. Where love is honest and pure, life is quite, and people are contented. No social media etc.
I'm only 29 and God, I fucking love these songs!! I still imagining listening to these songs while sitting on the backyard with the love of my life and kids. Old people had the best period of music. And back when love was a pure magical thing. I'm so jealous.
I’m restoring an old building from 1901 on our downtown square and I love listing to music like this when working on it🔨 I’m going to try to make the building as period correct as I can using turn of the century interior design styles and antique fixtures. The current mess that the world is right now fades away and it feels like I’m going back in time to when things were simpler😌 It makes you feel like its a chilly January evening in 1932 and you walk down the sidewalk after work to the café and grab a 5 cent cup of coffee before going home to your family. This music just has a gentle elegance that makes me feel peaceful and happy😌 Music like this is definitely wayyyy better than the disgusting vile garbage that’s getting cranked out nowadays.
This type of music makes me feel nostalgic for a familiar time I’ve only heard of in songs and seen in movies since my early childhood 😢💙... Nowadays not all people appreciate this type of music. Today’s music influences our culture just like any music in every age in time, but I think in a bad way. I wish music like this would return at one point and inspire everyone to be more kind-hearted, romantic and happy 😊.
This music makes me wish I was alive then to see the world when it was good and beautiful with all the amazing well axented and mannered people that had an interest in everything and were just amazing
2:37 listen to this while you read. When I was a teenager I can remember dancing the night away once upon a time with my girlfriend. We used to dance slowly to Frank Sinatra’s Stella by starlight. I was a in the navy so I could only dance with her when I came home once a month each year. We spent so much time together when I was home. We hardly ever spent time with our own families, that’s how much we loved each other. Then one day when I was finally able to come home from the war, I got home only to find out she had died in a car accident two months earlier. This news changed everything for me. My best friend, my future wife, my everything was gone forever. I was and still am in so much pain. I want my Cleo back so bad. She’s a memory now that will never leave me. The date is May 31, 2021 and I listen to this song every night while gazing up at the stars. The brightest star is my Cleo waiting for me to be with her again. On some nights while listening to this I can feel her presence with me and I can smell her perfume sometimes. I know she’s gone now but I’m sure she’s still with me some how. Whenever I look up at the stars I can see her eyes, and every time I dance to this song I can feel her body again. I love you so much my dear Cleo. You are truly my everything.❣️
I'm grieving over the loss of my mum this year. 98 she was! and she loved this music. I'm finding it marvellously comforting. Thanks for posting it, Past Perfect! xxx
Today is my Moms birthday. She would be 101 years old. She and my father were married 68 years. I grew up watching their love for one another, their laughter and most of their dancing!!
Man I’m 12 and fallout showed me this lovely music the first time I played fallout new Vegas I instantly fell in love with the type of music why can’t I live back in the old days I have such an old soul
I swear when i see my girlfriend again (she's on a cross-country trip to help her aunt move) i'm gonna have her dance with me to these. i miss her so much
Year check: 2020. Who's still listening to this music? I wasn't even born yet during this time yet the music captivates me. I'd love to dance to this with my wife and daughter who's 9 years old.
These lovely old songs are from just before my time, but I do remember my parents singing them as they did the chores and occasionally, one of these records would come on the radio. These songs take me back to my childhood and happy days and for that I thank you. Much nicer world than the one we have at the moment.
