Perfect Seal is an innovative product that takes the guesswork out of toilet installation. Perfect Seal is truly universal and it will work with any toilet installation and fits any drain size and flange depth. Unlike wax rings, the Perfect Seal stabilizes toilet bolts and allows the toilet to be repositioned as needed. It accommodates flange heights from 1/2 in. above the floor to 1-1/2 in. below the floor and maintains a tight seal when common toilet and floor movement occurs. Depending upon the height of the floor flange and the toilet horn, there may be instances when the toilet may not initially sit flush to the floor. In these situations, the black plastic ring that is inside the gray rubber casing of the Perfect Seal can be removed. The removal of this hard plastic ring will allow the Perfect Seal to be fully compressed and the toilet should then sit flush with the floor. The patented seal design combines specially designed rubber gaskets with encapsulated wax to form a seal that is three times stronger than a wax ring without the mess.

Short and sweet. The music is maddening.

I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by it! So many DIY videos have music over people talking, which makes it very hard for me to concentrate on what they're saying.

First time diy'er here just finished install today no leaks so far! I didnt need the blue rubber extension piece and had to remove black plastic insert after toilet wouldn't sit flush on floor. Only complaint would be is the bolts are narrower than old bolts guess i couldve just used those instead. So far very happy with this kit.

I’ve used this and no leaks. You do need to sit on the toilet after tightening for a 30 seconds then retighten bolts again. Work on first try. I’m waiting to see how reusable it is

DAMN GOOD POINT. I thought about this only after installing a new toilet, the old toilet fasteners were very loose and would just spin in the closet flange. Now I have to tear out the existing floor due to the obvious leakage. I wonder how many aren't aware of doing this simple, yet important step. I don't know why they don't print this in the insallation guide. If they do, I definitely missed it.

Great comment. I measured the space from the floor level of the toilet to the raised arch of the flange fitting and it is 1 inch. My new flange is pvc 1/4" above the floor level. I insert this product with the blue and black portions removed and it is roughly 2" So I'm guessing the wax gets forced down so I am able to secure the commode to the floor flush (no pun)?

Would this work with pressure assist toilets?

Do not buy this product if your flange is above the floor. Even after taking out the spacers, it sits high and you will have a rocking toilet. Wasted $10 so don’t waste yours.

You can always shim the toilet from the bottom to level it.

Did you remove the black plastic insert? My flange sits 1/4" above the floor and toilet would not sit on floor until I removed black plastic insert like shown in video then toilet set right. No leaks and this was my first time ever removing a toilet bowl and fixing a leak from an old wax ring.

Why are the bolts so long?

To make it easier to set the toilet down properly.

Yes that's exactly what I thought too. Long bolts make it easier to align toilet. My old bolts were much wider these are narrow bolts. I used a Dremel with metal cut-off wheel to cut them down to size so plastic caps fit over it. Think I could've used my 4-1/2" angle grinder would've been that much faster. Btw no leaks on my toilet first time diy'er I didn't use the blue extension rubber seal and also removed black plastic insert to make toilet sit flush on floor. Solved leak from old wax ring woohoo

hi would this work if my toilet flange is almost an inch below the finished floor? thnks
@DoubleNDonn
@DoubleNDonn Год назад
They say yes, however you need to buy 2 and stack them.
@mramericanmuscle40
@mramericanmuscle40 9 месяцев назад
No you dont want to buy two and stack them. You buy flange spacers which brings the flange to floor line and each spacer seal in between then use this. One other thing is everyone assumes all toilets suppose to be flush to floor. Not all toilets do. Some manufacturers put supports bosses in the base so that even if the floor is not true the toilet is supported all the way around the flange area thus making if flush on ring.

This video says to remove the black plastic insert, however, the instructions that come with this product say to only remove the insert if the toilet is not flush with the floor.

I tried setting toilet with black plastic insert but it wouldn't sit flush on floor so removed insert reinstalled toilet everything is good now no leaks!
@shawnfromportland

the video is confusing because the sentence is split between two shots, but it does say the same thing as the printed booklet: 0:29 "if the toilet is not flush with the floor... you will need to remove the black plastic round insert". also note what other commenters said, you need to sit down on the toilet for a little bit to create the initial seal spreading out the wax

Yeah, right...I followed the directions to a tee, watched videos...STILL LEAKS, repositioned it TWICE...STILL LEAKS, going back to the wax ring !!!!

No reply from the company in 3 months? If they don't have someone monitoring their social media accounts, they should hire someone. Where did you see your leak? Was it around the base of the toilet?
