My daughter Mila takes surprise delivery of a new 2023 Skidoo MXZ 200. Also in the video is an end of season long term review discussing some good and some not so good points. We take it out on the lake to test for top speed and Mila practices some wheelies.

I bought a new snoscoot in 18 for my kids there alot of fun no major issues expect we let a neighbor kid ride it who never rode sleds and burnt the brakes up so back to the dealer it went $250 later all good

Hey Vince, I have a suggestion for the tether on the 200. I kept the neoprene Velcro wristband from the old tether on my seadoo when I got a new one and use it on the same clip on the tether for my bass boat. Those universal watercraft tethers are only $20. It has a nice plastic loop to attach the metal clip then the kids just have to slip it over their glove and wrap the Velcro snug. 👍

Great review. Question for you, I have an 8yo son who is really good on his little 50cc quad. He’s got decent throttle control, but it’s a work in progress. Curious if that 200 has some sort of limiting throttle on it so I can prevent him from going full speed all the time!! He loves the loud handle for sure!!

Thanks @redneckf350 there’s nothing in the throttle body to limit throttle there is only the 1 screw for idle adjustment. Maybe you could just tape a small block to the back of the throttle lever?

Found your channel and enjoy it. Pretty similar setup for me but I have a 12 year old daughter. Looking at a Neo Plus. For her and me as a backup. How do you find the suspension on the Neo plus to be for you? I see you on the 200 but wonder how it holds hope. I have an aging 800 and would rather use the NEO a few times a season vs. a new big boy. Being 5-5 I found the Neo plus more comfortable than my full sized I'm running! Let me know!

@walleyewiz1308 thanks for watching, glad you're enjoying the content. I haven't ridden the NEO much but I am 5'11" & 190#'s it obviously feels very light and manoeuvrable. I'd say it could definitely serve you as a back up sled. I'd also highly recommend it for any adult who might be riding a sled for the first time.

Are the LED handgaurds plug and play or do you need to splice?

@aaronw6706 I'm not exactly sure as the dealer installed these for me. I don't think they are plug and play. If I follow the wires they are plugged in what seems to be some kind of "driver" box that has a BRP sticker with P/N 515178339. That box is hard wired to the battery.

I’d say you should be ok. Just a + and - connection to the battery 👍🏼

Hey, We are picking up the sled Friday and we have the handgaurds. I was just thinking if i wired them directly to the battery they would never shut off. Are they tied into the key somehow?

I just have one question, WHY do you call it a MXZED, were does the ZED come from. It is a Z. Is the ZED some kind of Canadian thing ? I purchased the same sled for my two grandchildren. They are 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 and it is perfect for now. They already want to ride the tn't , but I said they have to master the 200 first. I think it is a great platform to learn on, and should last a couple of years.

Yes the letter Z is pronounced Zed here in Canada. Not Zee like Americans. You Americans also spell words completely different, color vs colour for example and cheque vs check. You get your cheque on payday, a check to me is what I do to my tractor trailer every morning before I start work.
